I was given Laura Mercier foundation primer as a gift, as I had been previously using No7 pore refining serum and wanted to see if there was any difference between a mid range product and a high end product. Laura Mercier Primer is like skin treatment and a skin perfector in one! It is full of really good stuff - vitamins and antioxidants - so straight away you know it's going to protect your skin from all those environment nasties just like a girly force field - hoorah! I have the original as I have combination skin - and I love it! It has the consistency of a moisturising gel and is white (not tinted). This primer feels like lotion. It's slightly watery and feels moderately moist on skin. Well, it 'feels' moist but is matte and smooth to the touch, so will be suitable for oily / combination skin but perhaps not so much for dry skin. It also feels cool when you put it on, and I have heard of some people actually keeping this in the refrigerator to heighten the effect. This is a primer.
