Bosch Rotak 320 ... used hover mowers before I thought I would try one on wheels. Hover mowers are a benefit if you havent got a flat garden as it is easier on hills, although this Bosch is very light weight so would be easy enough for the job. The Bosch Rotak 320 is the lower priced model from the Bosch range, and has a cutting diameter of 32cm. It does not have the side cutting facility as the higher spec models for getting a closer cut at the edges. It has three different cut heights 2cm, 4 cm and 6cm, altering the heights is not too difficult and is tool free, each wheel is spring loaded into cut out slots on the mower and you literally have to pull the wheel out of the slot a... Bosch Rotak 40 LI ... old flymo but after an hour and a half I gave in to the idea that it wasn t anywhere near up to the job. As such I set out to B&Q with the plan that I was going to buy a petrol mower to deal with it. After getting to B&Q i realised I really didn t want to be getting involved with the maintenance of a petrol mower and decided to look at the more powerful electric s. I came across the Bosch Rotak 40 and it sounded like it should be powerful enough to handle the lawn as it claimed it could cut grass upto 30cm in length and it was a brand name I trust from other power tools I have owned over the years. Bosch Hover Mower ... over two years ago we bought a Flymo 380 hovermower. We were very pleased with its performance as we have a large expanse of grass ( meadow turf ) which is a chore.A few weeks ago- when the warranty had just run out - it began to cut out repeatedly after the first 15 or so minutes. The machine was taken locally for a service and attention to the defect whilst we were away on holiday. Colected it on Monday (£25 for service ) machine looked good as new. Alas problem still there. The repairer tells us that the overheat cut out switch is faulty and needs replacing. This used to be a separate item and cheap to repair BUT now is only supplied with a complete new motor as...
