... lawn mower owns my lawn. For ease of use, build quality and set-up this is a great product. I am a recent convert to the world of petrol lawn mowers and so I did my research and I think I did it well. Mountfield S461 PD Petrol ... than the electric. Tim s Tips: Folding the handle to give extra storage space, make sure the cables do not kink. If mowing amongst bushes, watch out for staggling branches and twigs. I found that the throttle area isn t very well protected against such hazards. The advantage of this mower over the electric is the power and you can use it when it is raining and the grass really does need cutting. On other makes of mowers whether Petrol Motor or electric, the metal chassis makes it easier to repair. Others that have cast or plastic bodies are more or less written off if a bracket brakes off the main frame, although there maybe glues to repair, they very rarely last.... Bosch Rotak 40 LI ... moved into a new home in November and it had a much larger garder that we had previously owned before. The house had been unocupied for more than 8 months prior to us moving in and as such the lawn was hugely overgrown. I began by setting out with the trusty old flymo but after an hour and a half I gave in to the idea that it wasn t anywhere near up to the job. McCulloch Titanium 46S ... Finding Maureen Just how many lawn mower varieties does a universe need? I came across at least ten different manufacturers, each with a bewilderingly not quite the same range. Mcculloch themselves have a staggering twelve variations of petrol mower (that I could discover on the Internet). If that is representative of all manufacturers then there must be around 120 subtly different machines to choose from. In making my choice I identified two important issues.
