 ... temporarily fixed this by glueing a thin piece of plastic over the top to bridge and strengthen it, but it has come off a couple of times already. I saw exactly the same mower for sale at my local tip, so I was going to buy it to replace the broken part on mine. However, it had exactly the same problem! So the signs are that it could be a common problem. I bought this for £34.99 from Argos. I am in the process of contacting Flymo regarding this, so watch this space...!...more

First for the positives - This Flymo is very light (4.5kg), easy to handle and folds down so it is handy if you haven't got a big shed to store it in. The mower comes with a decent pack of plastic cutting blades. Considering that it is a small mower, then it is only suited to small lawns and therefore you really wouldn't go through very many blades. I think I've only replaced mine once! It has a 28cm cutting width and only 2 cutting heights. So it doesn't cut a huge area and there aren't too many options for how much you can at one go.
