I'll never buy another Flymo EVER AGAIN thanks to this big heap of dog's doo doos. What a waste of £130. After only half a dozen uses the belt keeps slipping off and I've lost the will to live. And no, I'm not going to spend any more of my money on the ffing kit that supposedly rectifies this obvious design ... Read the complete review

had a call from my mother-in-law to say that her flymo super compact 330 that I bought for her was not cutting the grass. Investigation revealed the drive belt had shredded although why after 3 times used I fail to understand. went to the local stockist and bought a new belt (exactly same as original)and fitted it, simple job done I thought. I bought my mower for £79.48 from B&Q on 19 April 04. It packed up on 26 July 05 with a bang at the age of 17 months. I expected it to serve longer than about a dozen outings. I bought it to use on the few times when the chap we employ to bring his own petrol mower is unavailable, so my electric 400 has had only a dozen or so outings on lawns ... Read the complete review

I was attracted by the smaller brother of the Compact 400, the Compact 330, after my old 1000w rotary wheeled mower died. I had nipped to the local diy store to examine the different models. It appealed because of its 1600w motor, the sturdy wheels and handle, and it looked like it might not clog too easily. Because it was available under ... Read the complete review

I bought the PC 400 when we moved house and the old 28 cm mower was just not powerful enough and the grassbox got far too small. Flymo's ads looked very promising - just like being the best option around. The first year went ok. I found out that it could not cope with long and damp grass, simply completely caking in the blade and the ... Read the complete review

I bought this mower to replace my ageing Flymo Chevron 350S. Its handles were sloppy, grass bag split and, I thought, a bit long in the tooth. How about this spangly new one? A wheeled Flymo was what I wanted, sleek design, integral grass box, wide cut and a powerful motor. The cable is long and the way it attaches to the machine is ... Read the complete review

This is an appallingly designed mower that just does not do the job. The cut is not very good giving a worse finish than my previous Flymo hover mower (which I would recommend). I went for a wheeled mower as I thought it would be easier to push than my previous hover mower. How wrong I was. Small obstructions, long grass, ... Read the complete review

POWER COMPACT 400 Even its name has a sense of power about it, POWER, COMPACT, 400. What more do we need to know? Well for a start Flymo makes it the manufacturers of hover mowers. This however is a Flymo with wheels and the ability to stripe your lawns. A large cutting blade and a grass box that is centrally placed instead of ... Read the complete review

I find this mower not as good as our previous one (Mountfield Princess). The Flymo is heavier to maneouvre, the wheels seem stiff, and the grass box has a hole in the bottom as part of it's design. This of course is a slight design problem when carrying it full of grass to the compost bin (or wherever) because some of the grass you've ... Read the complete review

This has got to be one of the best mowers around. We have a large urban garden but mowing with this mower it only takes about 15 - 20 mins to do the lot. A friend bought one and raved about it for weeks and when my old one clapped out I just had to try it. It truely does the job and picks up so well I hardly ever have to rake the lawn for dead ...
