This flymo Lawn Mower was my best friend. Instead of relying on the bloke to do the gardening, I do like to get in there myself ( before a jungle emerges). This Flymo is so light weight that even a lady with not much strength could glide it around the garden. It basically hoovers around when the power is on making it so ... Read the complete review

I purchased mine about 10 years ago and it is still going strong, only needing its blade changing, which are very cheap to buy - they normally come in a pack of 10 or so for a fiver. I don't have a big lawn, so that's why I bought it. Watch out for any stones in your grass though, as it will destroy the plastic blades - I ... Read the complete review

With Christmas being just around the corner, why write a review about a lawn mower? Well to put it simply, we (and by we I mean me) had left the grass out the front of our house to grow a little longer than usual. And also I had left it extremely late in the year to cut it, don't get me wrong it was cut regularly all through ... Read the complete review

The main reason I purchased this Flymo was I was fed up with my old qualcast that had proved heavy, clonky to use and finally conked out. I was looking for a compact and more importantly light machine which would be easy to handle. I shopped around the stores so I could try out the weights and manoeuvrable of various lawnmowers before ... Read the complete review

We bought this lawnmower whilst on special offer - the money off was more of a pull that any reviews we had read about it which labelled this mower average. Having used the mower over the last six months I would now say this was a very generous review. It just about creeps over 'total rubbish'! I suppose it kind of does it's job ... I am usually an optimistic kind of person. The type whose glass is usually half full, rather than half empty. Maybe that is why my reviews are often more positive than negative. Well this review is not one of those reviews. In fact this is one of those reviews, for somebody whose glass is not only half empty, but also who has spilt the ... Read the complete review

**Why Flymo?** We've always stuck with Flymo's for cutting the grass because its a very reliable brand. What made this flymo really appealing to me, was that it's lightweight. I like to be able to cut the grass sometimes and past mowers we've had are often too heavy for me to shift around with an old whiplash injury. This one's ... Read the complete review

I bought the Flymo Turbo compact in the summer, in a combo deal with a strimmer. I have a reasonably small front & back lawn, so didn't need to be too fussy about the specifics of the lawnmower, and I'd had a Flymo in the past so plumped for the same Brand again. I must say, I've been perfectly happy so far with this model . As ... Read the complete review

I had to buy this mower after my previous mower broke after less than a year, I have had this for two years so far and it is much better, I have a medium sized garden and it gets it done quicker than my previous mover. Cutting height is esy to adjust although I had to buy an extra spacer to get a nice low cut height so it would have been ... Read the complete review

My husband is usually the one who does all of the gardening but since I have become a full time stay at home Mum I have been trying to help him out by doing more around the house so he can relax a little more when he gets home from a long day at work. It was with an overwhelming feeling of satisfaction that I moved our lawnmower to the rear of the shed where it will hopefully stay, moonlighting through the winter months as an adventure playground for spiders until spring! The key thing before buying any lawnmower is making sure it's suited for your lawn. Note: A flymo is NOT what you want for a garden that is more like a mountain landscape than a bowling green. If you've got a flattish (even a bit of raised area is fine) then this product will suit you down to a tee. More than ... Read the complete review

I do not pretend to be overly knowledgeable when it comes to lawnmowers. My dad used to use a Mountfield mower which was a joy, it whizzed up the garden and left no traces. The current choice of mower in our house is this one, I had to be sure this was the right one, because there are so many Flymo mowers! The name is a ... Read the complete review

We do not have the biggest of gardens and one of the benefits of the current dry spell is the fact that what grass we do have does not grow very fast if at all at the moment. This is a very reasonably priced mower that cost us about £80 and it is an electric mower with a 10m cable. It runs on four small wheels and has a ... Read the complete review

My partner and I were bought this lawn mower when we moved into our house 4 years ago. It has to be said I don't have tons of experience with lawn mowers, but this one does the job nicely. You start it by pressing a button in the centre of the handle and squeezing one the levers at either side of the handle, and off you go. If you ... Read the complete review

Bought this mower little over 12 months ago. To replace my older model. Like all the other negative comments I wished I hadn't bothered. It is out of warrenty and I can't do anything about it. Just like the others it appeared to have burnt out, sparks all over the place. On closer examination I found that the brushes had great big chunks out of them. I thought if I ground them back to square it would correct the fault you guessed it no. I then looked again into the motor and found white melted plastic. I was going to buy a new motor £35 but have now decided not to bother. By the way was this product ever withdraw for being so dangerous???? I wouldn't give this any rating it is so poor but will have to to get this commenton the page. One really angry customer

I've had a Flymo Compact 330 for just over a year. Operationally it gathers most grass, but at lawn edges it blows grass cuttings everwhere. Now the motor has started to burn out. I have had a look inside and can report that the problem is not the motor but the wheel at the other end of the belt. It seems to get tight and then the motor overheats and the belt breaks. Bad design I think, as you can't remove the wheel to see what the problem is. I suspect that when the lawnmower is turned at the end of cutting a strip, the blades catch on the grass and twist the wheel above the blades. One other point, the blades are of very poor quality and require sharpening regularly.Anyway, I shall not buy another Flymo!!

It is amazing how a bit of sun brings out a vague feeling of manliness that seems to compel men everywhere to dig the lawnmower out of the back of the shed.
