The grass area in my garden is mostly wild flower meadow, which we only cut twice a year, but I also have a tiny lawn a piece of grass that I do cut. To cut this I use an old flymo venturer 320.


I took my lawn mower out of the small shed in the garden. The lawn mower is small it fits well into my b&q tall shed. If I had a shorter shed I could undo the screws midway down the handle and fold the handle over this would make it shorter if I was taking this mower any where by car I would fold the handle over and the machine should fit in the boot of the car

The grass cutting collection box was still attached to the mower. Sometimes IO will remove it from the mower and store it separately depends on how I have the other tools arranged in the shed.

Right mower out of shed handles fully erect grass box on I take the machine to the grass. Next I need to unwind the flex and plug it into the electric socket in the kitchen. I need an extension cable for that as the lead will not reach all the way to the area I wish to mow the lead will be long enough for most of the lawn but there is just a little at the end of my medium garden it will not reach. The lead is 12 metres long

Right lawn mower ready for action electric switched on in the kitchen now to start the mower. The on of switch is on the handle of the machine just below where my hand fits happily to push the mower. The switch is a lever like bicycles brake so I can switch it of easily should I need to. This switch has a safety off option so you can switch it of and it will stay of stops little fingers fiddling and switching it on

Now to push my mower, it has 4 wheels to make this easy this machine weighs 10.5 kg. I do not find it too heavy to push.

It’s not too noisy I can just hear my husband from the kitchen door asking me if I would like a cup of coffee.
The motor is 1000 watts this machine is quite strong deals with the l

umps and bumps and tough areas of my lawn.


If I wanted to my lawn could be cut so it had stripes as there is a back roller, personally I do not want this effect but I know some people do. The width of cutting is 32 cm quite wide enough for me. The blades are made of metal they are under the plastic body out of the way of toes and fingers.

I am happily pushing my mower cup of coffee on the bench by my side watching the butterflies listening to the birds and I think I need to empty the grass collector. This is easy it just lifts of the back of the machine not full yet it will contain 28 litres. Empty grass into compost bins and attach the grass collector to mower I have to lift the orange /red flap that covers the space when the grass collector is of an line the collector up and slot it in.
The mower has 3 heights that you can fix it at for mowing grass as short or higher
This mower is available at a cost of 69 from Argos and B &Q I have seen it else where for £84. Replacement blades are available should you need them
This mower is suitable for small / medium gardens

Nearly finished now let me just mow in this corner, time now to drink the coffee I had forgotten mmmmmmm its still just warm
