I bought this Qualcast on a whim. When I was out looking for a new lawnmower this one caught my eye and I don't know why. It isn't the most appealing looking lawnmower in the world and the price is quite steep but it just looked reliable and like it could take a good throttling before it would pack up. Unsurprisingly, like I ... Read the complete review

Yes you got that right this tiny little thing has lasted 7-8years and I must say it is a great mower. Okay it isn't the most attractive thing ever just an ugly green colour and it looks pretty tacky. However it does what it is supposed to do cut grass and it has been cutting the grass very well for the past 8 years. We have ... Read the complete review

I went out and bought this small, compact grass cutter with a good size container for the grass. 7 months in and the machine stopped spinning. after opening it up i found that the cylinder cutting wheel shaft was held in position at both ends by cheap plastic moulding. Not what you would expect and as expected one of the moulded plastic ends had snatched. Shame because i was really taking a liking to this model. But again poor design is the issue. Dont buy this model. Wish Dyson could invent a decent grass cutter.

Five years ago I bought a small Flymo mower. It cost me just over $100 (Australian) (About £40 (English). It is a lovely bright orange colour, yes the colour is still nice and bright. There is no engine, so I don’t have to get it serviced, or buy it fuel. In Australia it has novelty value, most people have motor ... Read the complete review

I bought the Elan 32 about 6 months ago when my flymo that I'd had for 'years' finally came to the end of its days. My father told me that cylinder mowers were superior and as 'Dads always know best', I paid out the extra and bought the Elan 32. Mistake! Things started off well enough and putting it together ... I finally got rid of my Flymo hover mower that endlessly dumped large clumps of grass mulch over the lawn and opted to purchase an electric cylinder mower, the Qualcast Elan 32. When unboxed, the mower does require some simple assembly: (1) The handles need to be attached ? just by pushing some bolts through the handles ... Read the complete review

A few weeks ago my Flymo Compact 300 gave up the ghost. I had only had this lawnmower for 2 years, and over the last few weeks, a crack started to appear in the main casing at the front. As I kept mowing, the crack developed into a rather large hole and a large chunk of it dropped off. One of the side clips had also "pinged" ... Read the complete review

Yes, a sheep would infact have a far better cutting power than this feeble excuse for a lawnmower. I work at Homebase to get a bit of extra holiday cash, and I had seen this mower on display for a couple of weeks. When we were looking to buy a new one, we took home a couple of test models, this, and the flymo which I have also reviewed. ... Read the complete review
