CCS Foot Care Cream
by Kantankrus
***Introduction ***
I have been in the hospitality industry for almost thirty years now after having gained a Diploma in hotel management at college. (Have never managed a hotel but that's by the by lol)
The one thing I remember one of my tutors saying is: "Look after your feet because you will be spending a lot of time ... on them." Oh my god was he right!!
Spending eight hours on your feet and covering many miles in one work session, you just cannot let your feet get in a mess or you would suffer a lot!
Over the years, my feet have served me well but the one thing I suffer with is cracked heels and hard skin. I've tried many different products, but none with any particular success. One year my hard skin was so bad that I made an appointment with a choropodist who removed all my hard skin for me. She finished with a moisturising lotion called CCS Foot Care Cream and said that it was the only thing she recommended as its the best foot cream on the market. I walked out of that place as if on air vowing to buy some of this magic cream. That was probably ten years ago and I am still buying it.
***What does it look like?***
The cream comes in a 175ml tube and is plain white with a dark blue and a lighter blue stripe. It says on the front that it is a Swedish Formula which is used by podiatrists, "To manage and help prevent dry and rough skin."
The cream is squeezed out of the flip top lid and is quite thick. It has a distinctive smell which I'm not quite sure how to describe. Its a nice, fresh, eucalyptus kind of smell but the smell doesn't linger.
***How to use***
The directions tell you to initially apply twice daily and then as required to keep feet in good condition. For best results, on a night, put some cotton socks on whilst sleeping. (Occasionally when I have bought this in boots, free socks have been included!)
***Ingredients***
The cream contains 10% Urea, the moisturiser found naturally in the body, is lanolin free and dermatologically tested.
Other ingredients are: Aqua, Paraffinum Liquidum, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Myrtrmonium Bromide, Benzalkonium Chloride, Lactic Acid, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Limonene.
***How do I find it to use?***
As I said earlier, I have been using this cream for years which speaks for itself. I'm not religious about putting cream on my feet and only started putting cream on when my hard skin or cracked heels start getting worse. I usually squirt a generous helping into my hands and really massage the cream in all over my feet. not just the bits that need it. Immediately my feet feel refreshed and after a couple of days of usage, my feet are in a much better state. Ideally you would use this once or twice a week when problems with hard skin or cracked heels first rear their heads. I can't really fault it.
***Price***
At the moment (11th May 2013) Boots are doing a buy one, get second half price offer for £7.99 which isn't a bad deal but it can usually be purchased on Amazon for less. Some might think this expensive and you can get other creams cheaper. I have tried most of them and keep coming back to this one because it works! Money well spent. 175ml tube lasts for several months obviously depending on how often you look after your feet!
***Summary***
This foot cream does what it "says on the tin" and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! Read the complete review |

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs
by Captainreview
I first heard about Sally Hansen Airbrush for Legs on a TV show a couple of years ago and after hearing what a cult beauty product it is I had to give it a go! I'm now hooked and use it before every night out if I'm wearing a skirt/shorts.
The product costs around £10 in Boots but is often on offer. It comes in 3 shades (I use ... Light Glow).
It is marketed as "foundation for legs" rather than fake tan. The idea is that you apply it and you can see the colour straight away, just like foundation. It lasts all night and then you just wash it off.
I spray it on to my hands and then apply it to my legs. You need to blend it in, just like you would with foundation on your face, and make sure there are no streaks.
The coverage is great - it easily covers imperfections like thread veins, the beginnings of varicose veins etc whilst also giving you a bit of colour.
I've been wearing it in the rain before and it hasn't started running. When you have a shower afterwards, you have to scrub quite hard to get rid of it but that's a good thing as far as I'm concerned!
There are no nasty fake tan smells either.
When you apply it, just make sure you leave plenty of time before you get dressed so that you don't end up with orange marks on your clothes! Read the complete review |

Scholl Express Pedi
by houseofberries
I received a Scholl Express Pedi from Bzz Agent to try for free. I have to admit I was skeptical when I first received it as to how effective it would actually be. My feet were certainly ready for something - they'd been neglected over the winter. During the Spring I usually set to work with a pumice stone to try and get them 'summer ... ready'.
**Getting it up and running**
I opened the packet and managed to get the device out. I noticed the package was a little heavy and discovered a battery tucked right in the bottom, separate from the device.
I battery was easy to fit and the device easy to use with a simple on off switch. The only other switch removed the head of the device - I could see how easy that would be to change. On being switched on it made the rough roller rotate.
**How do you use it?**
Going through the instructions was a bit of a chore, it was one of those bit information leaflets in tiny print with lots of other languages to plow through. Probably would have been better to print some quick start details on the box in English? I eventually found that it was to be used on dry, clean feet (so as not to spread infection) and not to try and remove all the hard skin at once.
So I used it after my bath, you simply hold the device against the hard skin. It makes very short work of 'problem areas' on the feet. I get bits of hard skin around the backs and side of my big toes. It didn't tickle or hurt or need much pressure to apply it against my feet. It only took a couple of minutes, it would have taken 20 minutes of pumice scrubbing in the bath to achieve the same results.
**A little clean up afterwards needed!**
Quite a lot of skin came off on to the floor. Luckily I used it in the bathroom so it was easy to sweep up. Probably best putting a towel or paper down if using over a carpet. After using I applied some moisturising cream.
**Great results after the first use**
My feet looked notably better just after the first use. I've been using it for four weeks now, I've found it's given a much more even result than the pumice stone I used previously. It only needs a 20 second whizz around my feet now a couple of times a week to maintain the results. I would highly recommend this, it's saved so much time and effort, I'm really pleased with the Scholl Express Pedi. I will certainly be buying the replacement heads when this one wears out.
