Avon Foot Works Green Tea and Mint Cooling Moisture Lotion arrives in a lid down recyclable plastic container with an icon that informs us that the shelf life is 12 months once the product is opened. The easy to follow instructions are on the back of the tube.
This has fast become one of my favourite Foot Works products, The mild green cream is obtained by unscrewing the handy little lid and squirting onto your hand, it has a pleasant subtle fragrance and smoothes easily onto the feet, being quick to absorb and leaves no greasy after-feel.
I soon noticed my feet were comfortable and soft after using this for a few days. I quickly got through 2 tubes in the recent hot spell and am currently awaiting delivery of a replacement tube with anticipation.
The fragrance is subtle benefits from not having an over powering mint tone.
What I like about it:
The cream has a smooth, light texture and it smoothes onto my skin and is easily absorbed, without leaving any greasy film or sheen. The subtle fragrance is just right. I honestly think it helped my feet get through the hot weather.
I go bare foot a lot and as a consequence suffer from hard skin given half a chance, this cream has kept that at bay this year, therefore, along with the pleasant fragrance and easy absorption I am hooked.
What I don't like:
If ultra fussy the cream looks a little split.
Feet in need of moisturising, soothing and pampering.
This is a moisturiser not a miracle worker; do not expect it to cure existing hard skin build up!
Price and Availability: Usual price is £4.50 for 100ml bottle, however Avon frequently have offers on Foot Works products. Available via a Representative from the Avon Catalogue, Avon Website, Sometimes outlets such as eBay or Amazon (see the Dooyoo links).
Update Feb 14: I don't get all the catalogues from Avon but I have not seent his for a while, which is a real shame.
My feet sometimes get dry and hot. If I go for a run it makes them even worse. After a shower or indulgent bath I usually rub some of this Avon Foot Works Green Tea and Mint Cooling Moisture Lotion into them to... well, cool and moisturise them really!
It comes in a small white tube (75 ml) which is the familiar 'triangle' shape with a rounded cap at the bottom and a flat joining at the top, just like a million other ,moisturising creams. It stands on the screw-off cap so that the liquid inside always runs to the open end.
The lotion itself is very thick and creamy. Put a blob about the size of a pea on your foot and it will stay there, it won't run, allowing you to rub it in at your leisure. It's a very pale lime green and for once this is a product that smells exactly as you expect it to. It's green tea and mint, no doubt about that. And it rubs in quickly and easily, leaving no stickiness behind just nice, smooth skin.
As soon as you apply it you can feel it calming and soothing the skin. There's a slight tingling sensation too although that disappears pretty quickly. The cooling sensation doesn't though, my feet still felt comfortable over an hour afterwards. I like to put this on just before getting into bed so that it helps my feet to relax overnight.
If the skin on your feet is badly dried or even cracked then I wouldn't recommend this. There are other products available that would work better in those situations. But for normal, healthy feet I can't recommend this highly enough. Well done Avon.
