Advantages: It smoothed the skin on my feet and helped my cracked heels within about 2 weeks.

Disadvantages: It claimed I would see visible improvements to my heels in just 3 days which I did not and the smell

This was an item that I pinched from my mum's load of bits in her bathroom. She must have had it for over a year and she had not used it up so I thought someone might as well!

I have only just noticed in the last year how my heels and feet require a lot more care than they used to. I came back from a trip to London and the soles of my feet had been burning with all the walking I had done as well my shoes rubbing on my toes. So my feet needed a really good pamper.

I also noticed that the soles of my feet were getting quite rough. This cracked heel repair is by Boots own brand and it says on the front of the tube 'visible results in just 3 days.' Well that does sound pretty good but I would not agree entirely. Yes my feet were smoother after 3 days but they would be with anything if I had suddenly gone from not moisturising my feet at night time to suddenly moisturising them every night. But I would say it took about 2 weeks for me to see that my heels were not as cracked but I also used a foot file which I think helped a lot. I think it was necessary to use both the cream and the foot file together to see the best results.

It also claims to make the skin on your feet 4 times thicker which again is not something that I have noticed but I am unsure how you would notice this really.

I have applied the cream all over my feet not just on my heels, this is because it claims to be intensely moisturising which the whole of my feet needed not just my heels.

The crack heel repair in this particular tube is no longer sold by Boots online but it is still sold in my local Boots store. But it looks like there is a slightly new and revamped version of it called Boots Gorgeous Feet Rapid Cracked Heel Repair. From what I have read about it, it seems like exactly the same product but just in a slightly newer packaging which is why I carried on with writing this review because it still seems like the same product inside of the tube. It is a 100ml tube which cost £4.99. I have used it continuously for about 2 months now and I am nearly at the end of the tube.

For some reason which I cannot explain I am not a particular fan of the smell of this product even though other reviews seem to rave about the smell. It smells very strongly of shea butter which was an issue I had with a similar foot cream from Avon which I bought to use with the socks which you can wear overnight to intensively moisturising your feet after putting on the foot cream. So for that reason I would not purchase this foot cream again.

But since using the cracked heel repair I am now in the routine of looking after my feet so I am on the look out for a new foot cream. If this was fragrance free or had a different smell I would repurchase it because it is intensively moisturising and rich, and my Avon foot balm is not a patch on how moisturising this product is.

It gains 3 out of 5 stars from me: it loses 1 star for its smell and the other star for me feeling that its claim of 'visible results in just 3 days' not keeping its promise.

Summary: An intensively rich cracked heel repair for the feet
