“ Brand: Boots / Type: Foot Repair / Suitable for: Foot / What it does: Repairs, „
I was looking for something to improve the look of my heels in readiness for Summer (it is rumoured to be coming soon!). I have tried Flexitol before and whilst it does a good job I really didn't find the smell to be particularly pleasant. Whilst searching the shelves in Boots I came across Boots Gorgeous Feet Rapid Cracked Heel Repair. At £4.99 for 100ml it is somewhat cheaper than Flexitol which is currently £9.99 for 112ml so I decided to try it.
It comes in a lovely pink tube which will stand upright on its lid and looks far more feminine standing on my dressing table than the Flexitol tube.
The main ingredients are aqua, glycerine and paraffin but there are many others listed on the tube, including perfume.
The perfume is gorgeous, sweet and flowery and just a really lovely scent that makes my feet smell delightful, for a while, at least.
**The Product Itself and How To Use It**
It is thick and creamy and a small amount goes a long way. It is absorbed easily and doesn't leave the skin too greasy although the feet feel moisturised instantly and look much better straight away. The instructions suggest using the cream twice a day for a week and then as required. I do use a heel scraper once a week to get rid of the really dry top layer and then slather in the cream.
**Does It Work?**
I have been using this for a few weeks now and my heels are definitely looking better, much smoother and more moisturised. However, if I forget to put the cream on for a couple of days I do find that my heels take a backward step so it's obviously going to be an ongoing requirement. Compared to Flexitol I would say that it probably isn't as good if your heels are really badly cracked with deep fissures, but if, like mine, there are minor cracks and dryness then this cream is definitely up to the job and smells lovely too. I have tried moisturising my heels with body lotion or E45 but I have to say that I didn't see as much improvement in my heels as with the Boots Rapid Heel Repair.
A lovely creamy, gorgeous smelling product which has definitely improved my dry, cracked heels and the rest of the skin on my feet. A little expensive at £4.99 but seems to be cheaper or on a par with other creams for cracked heels.
