“ Brand: Boots / Scrub / Type: Foot Scrub / Suitable for: Foot / What it does: Exfoliates, „
I'm starting to sort my feet out for spring/summer and sandal season and that means sorting out my toenails, getting rid of my hard skin and cracked heels and one of the ways in which I can do this is by using a foot scrub. My feet have been covered up since winter and so they are quite dry with lots of flaky skin. Before I can even think about using a softening cream on them I need to get rid of that dead skin and make them smooth to being with and then I can add a cream to really soften them up.
I saw this foot scrub and a corresponding foot cream on offer in Boots as their are a Boots own product so I decided to try them. The packaging is quite average looking and didn't really stand out on the shelf as all it has is a little leaf picture on the front and the tube is just a light avocado green colour, not very stand outish!
On the tube it says this foot scrub is an invigorating foot scrub used to stimulate circulation as well as soften rough, tired feet. The scrub is fairly thick and has a really nice consistency to it. you can see lots of granules in it and rough stuff and so when you rub it onto your feet you know you are going to get some nice friction and polish and really get rid of all your dead skin. I really like to squeeze out a nice dollop of this scrub onto my hands and then really rub it all over my feet. It does give my feet a nice tingly feeling and soaks into my feet well. I tend to sue this before I get in the bath or shower and then I just let the water get rid of all the scrub that is left.
The smell is lovely. The scrub contains avocado granules which I think is always a nice smell when it is added to beauty products. The avocado gives it a sort of fruity smell which is quite interesting as its not really a fruit product but it does have a nice sweet smell. You also get a light mint smell too as this scrub contains mint calendula but its not an overpowering mint smell like some foot scrubs can be.
After using my feet are really free from all the dead skin and do feel nice and soft and they look really good too which is the result I was going for, to get my feet ready for summer.
You can also buy a Boots invigorating foot cream as well so after using this scrub I like to put the cream on so I am getting double help for me feet from these products.
A 100ml tube costs £3.29 which I think is good value and is available in Boots.
