Advantages: Softens, Smooths, Scents
Your poor, long suffering feet are often the last part of your body to get any beauty treatment at all. Oh yes, you slather creams and lotions all over your face and the rest of your bod, but a bit of a dunk in a bowl of water and a quick stab with a pair of nail scissors is the most your feet can hope for. Just for once, why not pamper them a little…I mean, look how hard they work, carrying you everywhere, squeezed into ill-fitting shoes or niffy trainers. Go on…give ‘em a treat and keep ‘em sweet. Go on…go on, go on, go on………
About The Product.
Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Foot Scrub contains, amongst other things…yes…you guessed it…! Green Tea!!
Now then, you may be aware that green tea is reputed to have certain medicinal qualities. Green tea is, in fact, the unfermented form of ordinary black tea and contains less caffeine than black tea. When drunk, it is a pale green or amber liquid, and is taken without milk or sugar. It contains antiviral and antibacterial agents called catechins, which are thought to slow down the aging process. In Ayurvedic medicine green tea is used for digestive disorders, as a nerve tonic and to counteract fever and tiredness. It is also known to be a natural astringent. Naturally then, beauty manufacturers have been keen to use green tea in their products.
Green Tea Foot Scrub also contains pumice, which is what makes it so wonderfully gritty and gives the product its exfoliating effect.
Other ingredients listed on the product are extracts of aloe barbadensis, calendula officinalis, chamomile and ginkgo biloba. I think most of us will be familiar with these herbal remedies.
How To Use The Product.
First of all make sure your feet are damp. Massage a good handful of the foot scrub into your soles, heels and toes, paying particular attention to dry, rough areas. If you have a foot file, use the smooth side to gently e
xfoliate dead skin cells and the rough side on any stubborn hard skin. Be careful if you have any foot problems such as corns, calluses or cracked skin…best to avoid rubbing these areas. The massaging effect obtained from the gritty foot rub is wonderful and the effect is even more delicious if you can persuade your partner to massage your feet for you, while you lie back in bliss.
Afterwards, rinse your feet thoroughly in warm water and for best results, apply some moisturiser or body lotion. And voila…feet fit to be seen again in public. After one use, I found that my feet were much softer and smoother, as well as smelling delightful. The Green Tea fragrance is light and refreshing, and left my feet feeling cool and fresh. The foot rub won’t get rid of stubborn patches of hard skin on heels, but it does make it smoother.

I regret that I cannot give an accurate price check on this product as I actually received it as a prize for a letter published in a well-known health and Beauty magazine, (lucky me!) but I estimate that you could expect to pay around ten pounds for the 200ml tube.
