I was given this a few years ago by a friend when I had particularly dry feet after a long period of foot neglect.
This cream comes in a white soft plastic tube with green circles on the front and a white plastic flip lid. You squeeze the product through the application hole and apply liberally over dry patches or the whole of your foot. The design is pretty simple, looks nice and is distinctively nails inc because of the logo.
The cream is white in colour and medium thickness. By this I mean it wouldn't flow if you poured it but it isn't so thick it is almost set into shape. The cream is easy to rub into your feet, feels nice and creamy and leaves your feet feeling soft and hydrated.
The cream also has an amazing fresh citrus lime smell to it which really sets it apart amongst other foot creams on the market. I have tried a lot of peppermint foot creams but I actually find this citrus one much nicer and if you have smelly feet then I can imagine it would really help to mask the smell.
The cream does leave my feet feeling soft but personally I would rather it were just a little bit thicker. I love a really thick indulgent cream and though this is hydrating it doesn't feel really indulgent. I tend to think, and this is probably psychological, that thicker creams do a better job at hydrating dry skin on my feet and also feel really nice.
My only other issue with this product then has to be the price! This product retails at around £10 for a tiny 100ml bottle which for me is way too much. I can find a cream for a third of the price which is that little bit thicker and offers more in terms of quantity. I've never since found a foot cream with such a glorious smell but that definitely isn't worth paying three times the price.
Overall, a nice foot cream with a delicious smell but it just isn't worth the money.
This is a review of Nails Inc. Mexican Lime Bond Street Foot Cream which I have only just come to the end of, having received the tube of lotion in a Christmas gift box a couple of years ago. My tube is 75ml and has lasted ages partly due ot infrequent use and also due to misplacing it during our house move for a few months.
What is it?
This is simply a fairly runny white lotion that you rub in to your feet and it smells very strongly of lime. I tend to use mine at night time to give it chance to sink in rather than rubbing in and walking it in to my socks.
This cream is packaged appropriately in a lime green tube with a silver flip top lid. It is designed to sit on its head so the contents are always ready to come out.
The cream is quite thin and runny so a little bit goes a long way. I found it was just a bit too strong smelling and would need to wash my hands thoroughly after use due to the strong lime smell on them afterwards, although it would be a natural thing to wash your hands after rubbing lotion in to your feet anyway! The tube advises a pea sized amount should be rubbed in to the feet and legs. I find it has a light cooling sensation but the main thing for me was how strongly smelling this lime lotion is.
Whilst mine was in a gift set and a smaller size, 150ml retails online for a consistent £11 on most websites including Amazon and Salonskincare.com.
I have enjoyed using the cream but sometimes the lime flavour felt too strong for my liking so it wasn't always a go to product. The tube has literally lasted a couple of years due to it being missing for a while and also a little goes a very long way.I do think this is expensive for what it actually does and there are other equally good but cheaper products on the market. I think this cream needed to be a little thicker in consistency for it to sink in better and sometimes when I used this and put socks on I think the socks got better benefits than my feet.
For me this is not a repeat buy. If I got a bottle in a gift set I would be happy to use it. I didn't hate it but found the lime a bit strong and sickly at times and I think there are other cheaper products out there that work just as well.
Mexican lime foot cream is a nourishing and moisturising foot cream with mexican lime and cucumber extract / How to use:Apply a pea size amount and warm in the palm of your hands gently massage in to the feet and legs to refresh and moisturize / For an extra indulgent treat and to really soften the skin, apply mexican lime foot cream at night and then slip on some cotton socks / your feet will feel super soft by morning!
