Unfortunately, I have quite smelly feet, I've suffered with it all my life and remember when I was a kid when I was in the same pair of trainers all summer long with no socks my feet used to absolutely reek by the end of the day. Now, I rotate shoes so they never really have a chance to get too smelly but when it gets to summer and the hot weather comes around again I always use a foot spray to look after the smell!!
What I love about this spray is that not only is it for your feet but its for your shoes as well. There's no point having nice fresh clean just out of the shower feet if you then put them into smelly shoes, you defeat the purpose of having clean feet and go back to having smelly feet. That's why Odor eaters sport foot and shoe spray is great.
Odor eaters say that this spray, "Destroys foot and shoe odour all day and keeps shoes fresh, dry and odour-free as it is specially formulated to fight the worst foot and shoe odour."
The spray is really easy and handy to use and only takes a couple of seconds to use which is great. After my shower in the morning I make sure to spray my feet all over with this spray, holding it a few centimeters away from my feet so I just get the spray and not all the moisture. Then I spray my footwear of choice that day. Obviously I don't do it in the summer if I am wearing flip flops or open toes sandals as these don't get sweaty and smelly but I will use it on trainers or ballet flats (which I find can get extremely smelly) and closed toed high heels as well. ITs easy to spray in the shoe and you can target the inside to make sure you don't get any on the outside of the shoe. This spray hasn't harmed any of my shoes on the outside fabric so I would definitely say it is safe to use.
The spray doesn't have a chemical smell which is nice. In my opinion it doesn't really have a certain smell, its just a nice fresh scent that helps to keep your feet clean. I find that my feet don't get as sweaty when I have applied this spray so I think this helps with keeping the smell away and I find by the end of the day my feet and shoes still smell ok so I would definitely recommend this spray.
A 150ml can costs £4.99 but I find that lasts a really long time so it is good value.
Admittedly not the nicest subject to start a review on, but it has to be done. Unfortunately, I do suffer from foot odour and it was about time I got something done about it. Don't get me wrong my feet are not awful smelling, but it makes me very paranoid if ever I can smell them. I tried many products, cleaned my feet thoroughly and used all kinds of miracle creams which had zilch effect. After remembering seeing Odor Eaters advertised on the television, I thought I would give them a go.
Originally, I had set out for the original Odor Eaters spray which is in a blue can, however it was out of stock in my local store, so I had to settle for the Sport version which is fine, as I was hoping it was a little stronger. I purchased mine from Boots because it was the first place that came into mind that would stock this product. This retails for £4.99 at full price in Boots, but there are often offers on to get it a bit cheaper or stock up on a few. I think it is very expensive, however I have seen it in budget beauty stores such as Bodycare for around the £3.00 which I think is reasonable, so it is worth hunting around for this. The original spray is a little cheaper too which is good if you can get your hands on it.
The spray comes in a green can, and you get 150ml worth of spray which is quite an average size. Using the spray is really easy, and it is designed to be used directly on the feet, as well as inside shoes. It is recommended that you hold it a good 30cm or so distance away and spray directly on to feet. I make sure to apply to the top, bottom and in between my toes. I then spray up and down the inside of my shoe. It is really simple and quick to use, and the spray comes out quickly. It is also recommended that at the end of the day when you are finished with your shoes to respray. The usage of this product is fantastic, and much better than messing around with creams and powders.
The results are noticeable within an instance of spraying this. It does give off quite a pong, and smells a bit like leather or rubber tyres which is not great, but it does die down after a while. The scent seems a little pungent at first, and stays in the air for a while, but you do get used to it. I would recommend applying this at home rather than out and about because of this distinctive scent. It soon wears down and is fine. The first result I found was in my shoes, as they seemed much drier from spraying them. Smelly feet can often be caused by sweating or if shoes are damp from rain and water. Odor Eaters is a fantastic spray to combat this, and I have found that it works well in wet weather.
The results from using this are really fantastic, and I was impressed. I will be going back to stock up on more of these as they are so effective. I have used it on all kinds of shoes, even slippers. Obviously it is only a short term way of covering up bad foot odour, and it won't combat the smell itself forever but I find it no hassle at all to give a quick spray. It makes me feel much more confident when I am wearing shoes, as I find that my feet are much drier and are not prone to sweating as much. My foot odour is practically invisible all day which I think is great. It is like a little miracle spray.
One thing to note is that I have suffered greatly with athlete's foot over the past few years, and this spray helps to combat athlete's foot. I have found that on the whole mine has got much better, and my feet don't tend to get as itchy anymore as they are being kept dry. This is why I would recommend trying out this sports one if you are a particularly active person. I do the odd exercise here and there, but I would say this spray is better for those who are active, and those who have quite serious foot odour. I think it is great that they target those who are sporty, as this is a handy little essential to pop into your gym bag.
You do not need to use much of this spray to get fantastic results, but it does spray out of the can quite quickly so you get a good coverage all over the shoes and feet. Originally, I was holding it too close to my shoes and feet, and this meant that I was getting excess powder everywhere. Sometimes you can visibly see it, but all it needs is a wipe down and it is completely fine. Despite only needing a little bit of this for good results, I have found that the can runs out very quickly. It is recommended that you spray feet and shoes twice a day, and I have nearly finished my can in about three weeks. This is really the only issue I have found with this product at all. Other than that, it's a thumbs up from me.
Overall, I would thoroughly recommend this product to anyone suffering from foot odour. Yes, it is an embarassing subject to address via the Internet, however I suffered for too long from foot odour when I should have just tried this all along. Not only does it work wonders to eliminate bad smells, but it will make you much more confident and happy. I will continue to purchase this foot and shoe spray from Odor Eaters as it really does the job for me. Thanks for reading and hope it helps.
