Philosophy is a beauty brand which was found in 1996. Philosophy products are formulated with scientifically proven ingredients.
Soul Owner is part of the 'hand and foot' collection that Philosophy offer. It is classed as an 'exfoliating foot cream' and is aimed at those who have dry skin on their feet. It claims to exfoliate dry and flaky skin and to transform hard souls into soft, pampered feet which are renewed.
This foot cream is enriched with sacilcylic and glycolic acids. It also contains eucalyptus oil which is an emollient and refreshes the skin. This foot cream be applied daily or overnight for a more intensive treatment. It shouldn't be applied to broken skin. This product carries a sunburn warning - it contains alpha hydroxy acid which increases sensitivity to the sun so care should be taken.
Soul Owner is presented in simple yet functional packaging - a white tube with black writing. There is a screw off lid at the base and the tube is made from squeezy, durable plastic. The front of the tube has a little poem which is common with Philosophy products.
'Let's review your only true assets, you own your values, your intergrity, your thoughts, your words, your actions and therefore, your destiny. Question : are you proud of what you own/. What is your true net worth to the world and the people around you? Are you really rich or do you just have money?' - I find this quite interesting.

I have always been lazy when it comes to taking care of my feet as I do not usually show them off. My Mum has horrible feet and I do not want mine to end up like that so I now like to treat my feet to a foot scrub or cream. I am a fan of the Philosophy brand as they offer high quality body treats. I received a lovely gift set for my birthday this year which had lots of travel sized Philosophy products. I am just getting around to reviewing them finally!
I own a 28.4g tube of Soul Owner. The name of this product is appealing due to the different meanings it carries. It is important to have clean, dry feet before applying this foot cream. I like to apply it before I go to bed but I sometimes apply it during the day if I am at home. It isn't something I would choose to apply right before putting my shoes on to go out or if I will be walking around as we have wooden flooring and well, I slip at the best of times without foot cream on!
My feet aren't awful but they are far from being silky smooth. Like the rest of my body, I do suffer from dry skin there and moreso on my soles and the occasional bit around my ankles. The sub title of this product may lead one to believe they are applying an exfoliating scrub type product but as I discovered, this is simply an intensive foot cream with a mild exfoliator well blended in.
Soul Owner is white and has a reasonably thick, rich consistency and appears to be of a high quality. It feels quite heavy on my skin and is completely smooth - no gritty bits of sand or sugar for exfoliating properties. It certainly doesn't glide across my skin like a regular foot cream so I can only assume the exfoliating happens whilst massaging the cream onto my feet. I hate touching my feet but found that applying this foot cream was a 'non tickly' experience! I do need to set aside a good 5 minutes to thoroughly massage this cream into each foot. If I am using it before going to bed, I usually leave a small amount of cream on the surface of my feet and wear some cotton socks to bed.
This foot cream leaves my feet feeling ultra soothed which is perfect for when they are quite sore from long walks. Once absorbed, my feet feel a little slippy for a short while but not sticky or uncomfortable. The scent of this foot cream is very fresh and I can't help but notice a minty aroma with a sweet lime undertone which I find pleasant. There is a faint medicinal undertone to the scent too. The overall scent is light and refreshing. It certainly does leave my feet feeling clean and revived for several hours which is a bonus.
Soul Owner leaves my feet feeling silky smooth. The dry areas are instantly moisturised deep down. I find the results to be best when using this foot cream as an overnight treatment though excellent results are still obtained from applying this during the day. I find the results to be long lasting so usually only feel the need to do an overnight treatment twice a week. Those with really bad feel (like my Mum) may benefit from a quick application each day for best results.
Soul Owner is very much worth the high price tag. I only need a small blob for each foot and it performs very well by moisturising thoroughly and generally my tired feet are refreshed. This is one of the best foot creams I have ever used. I haven't experienced any reaction from using this regularly and it is gentle on my skin.
Thanks for reading :)
