A foot and leg lotion from Skintruths.

While staying at my parents house a couple of weeks ago while they were away I had a little bit of a browse in my mum's bathroom... and more than "a little" test of some of her products. One of the products that I used daily during my stay was her bottle of Skintruth's Pedicure Foot and Leg Lotion. Skintruth is a professional is a professional skin care range which can be found in salons throughout the country and has the aim to "unify naturally derived and scientifically advanced ingredients to optimise skin care." The range includes face care products (masks, moisturisers, toners, etc) as well as body care products (creams, massage oils, scrubs, etc). It's available to buy from salons or from the internet with prices being cheaper on the internet.

The Pedicure Foot and Leg Lotion comes in a frosted plastic bottle with the larger bottle coming with a pump type dispenser on the top for easy application as it's meant to be used in salons while the smaller bottle apparently just has a simple flip open lid. The bottle is tinted a lovely aqua green colour by the contents inside it as this is the colour of the lotion. Once dispensed the lotion is as runny as a typical body lotion and has a lovely fresh and minty smell to it. To apply the lotion it's recommended that you press down on the pump twice and this will dispense enough to cover the foot and lower leg region. As you apply it you'll notice the minty smell becoming more obvious and it's also incredibly cooling when applied on your skin too.

The lotion should be massaged into the skin after a pedicure to give a cooling and finishing effect, however it can also be used as a moisturiser to keep skin soft and supple. It contains a blend of oils which moisturise, condition and soften any dry or rough skin on the feet. It's recommended that you apply it after you exfoliate and when your feet are clean for the best effects. I find it leaves my feet and legs feeling cooled and revitalised, it's very soothing when applied to tired feet which I've never found with any other foot creams before. It's definitely a good moisturiser, after applying it at night my feet and legs feel really soft the following morning. It also leaves them smelling really clean and slightly minty which is certainly a bonus.

The only negative I found after using this lotion for a whole week was that it didn't really soften or remove the dry and hard skin on my heels as well as more medicated heel balm creams do. I'd say if you've got relatively soft feet already then this would be ideal but you may need something more intensive to start with. The Skintruth Pedicure Foot and Leg Lotion is available to buy online from a variety of sites with the 250ml bottle retailing at around £4 and the 500ml bottle retailing at around £6, in salons it will be more expensive in general. I'd thoroughly recommend this lotion, it's reasonably priced and I love the cooling effect it has on my skin. Go on, treat yourself, we all deserve a bit of pampering every now and again!

      Thanks for reading.
