The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Spray
Advantages: Nice scent, works quickly, no fuss, leaves feet softer and smoother.
Disadvantages: £5 is a little expensive.
=== The product ===
This is a peppermint foot spray from The Body Shop. The Body Shop prides themselves on not testing their cosmetics or products on animals and this is the main reason that I am prepared to spend a little more money and buy some of their products throughout the year.
=== The packaging ===
This comes in a plastic bottle with a press down pump dispenser. The bottle has a label showing all the usual information that you would expect to find.
=== Where to buy ===
This can be purchased from The Body Shop stores, the Body Shop website or from a Body Shop At Home party host. As with many websites delivery charges may apply if ordering online for home delivery. The cost of this is currently £5.00 but like most Body Shop products this frequently goes on special offer.
=== Overall opinion ===
We got married these year and received lots of wonderful, thoughtful presents from our family and friends. One such gift was a hamper of Body Shop products for both of us and we set about taking some of these with us on honeymoon as this was the purpose some of them were really designed for. This cooling foot spray was thoughtfully chosen to keep us feeling refreshed and relaxed on our honeymoon. A foot spray is not something that I would actively think of purchasing when shopping but I generally like the idea of them just not the price.
This is a 100ml bottle of liquid so was quite convenient for paying as the liquid restrictions were 100ml meaning I could take this on the plane to keep myself refreshed while travelling to and from our honeymoon destination. I also used this several times while on holiday by putting it in a beach bag and taking it out for the day with us.
Initially I was a little worried about this colouring my feet blue but this sprays on clear and gets to work quite fast. The spray is refreshing and cooling the instant that is it sprayed and a delightful peppermint smell accompanies the spray. The peppermint is like a sweet kind of peppermint rather than a strong minty toothpaste kind of scent and this lingers in the air for a few minutes before being absorbed by my feet and then being only noticeable by actively being near my feet.
I find that the cooling sensation of this spray works instantly and my feet begin to feel wonderfully refreshed. On the days when we were on the beach and it was incredibly hot and there were hills and mountains waiting to be explored I found this to be a god send. I was able to spray my feet, slip my flip flops back on and start walking again with some of the aching eased for a little while.
My feet felt quite nice after using this, a little softer and smoother, which is always a bonus of this type of product. Minimal effort is required, just spray, air for a few seconds and then be on your way again, a real bonus when strapped for time!
I have found that the cooling refreshed sensation lasts for around 25-35 minutes at a time but this is fairly good compared to some cheaper foot sprays that I have received as gifts in the past. When standing on my feet at work all day this spray has been something of a god send and while I have to reapply a few times during the afternoon it stops some of that burning sensation and leaves me feeling refreshed and relaxed for the short walk home at night.
Summary: Foot spray from the Body Shop that works quite well.
