... different story. Secondly, it encourages a bit of imaginative play which I am all for. The child has to use their brain to make something or they are of no use to them. Thirdly, they provide hours and hours of fun and when you ve made something you can start over again and build something else. There is a couple of bad sides to Lego though and the first is the fact that it really, really hurts if you stand on one or two pieces. The edges are sharp and they dig into your foot so bad that you almost hit the ceiling. ... robber as he is wearing a standard issue stripey jumper! As with all Duplo sets the bricks and other pieces in this set are large and sturdy making them suitable for young children. Duplo is recommended for children aged 2 plus. My sons both love playing with this set along with their other Duplo. It is a nice little set on its own, and my sons, who love police cars and anything with a siren, will play with it for hours, however there are not many actual bricks included so it doesn t give you any scope for building anything other than the police station unless you are going to use it with other sets. The Lego Duplo Police Station is avaiable from Amazon for £19.55....

... it was a bit fiddly getting the pillars and flags on, as well as attaching the reins. Once built, this is plenty sturdy and holds together brilliantly. It s just fiddly getting the finished model completed. It s also a tiny bit fiddly getting all the accessories into the minifigure s hands, but kids who are already experienced with Lego won t find this too tricky. I love that this set is a complete playset all in one box. Often with Lego sets from this price range, you only get one minifigure in the box, or you need to buy another set or two to get any real play value.
