I'm a huge fan of both Star Wars and Lego and so any combination of the two is likely to be purchased by me. I was given this set for Christmas a few years ago and although not challenging, I enjoyed building it.

The set features two separate build-able ships, Jango Fett's Slave I and Obi Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter.

The set contains 53 pieces and the ships are small and in this instance, mini really does mean mini. The ships are only a couple of centimetres in length each. This is rather disappointing, particularly for the price as when purchased I believe they cost around £10.

Despite their size, they are quite accurate with the features and are instantly recognisable as these ships to most Star Wars fans. I also think it is quite impressive to be able to use so few pieces to create a tiny Lego model that bears a lot of resemblance to the original.

These would be ideal Christmas/Birthday presents or for any Lego/Star Wars fan. They look good as part of any Lego Star Wars collection and are ideal if you do not want to spend a huge sum (I believe that the original, large Lego Slave I from Attack of the Clones {Boba Fett's Slave I has been released as a model as well} sells in excess of £150) and make good collector's items.

I certainly would not recommend this to anyone who likes building larger models or challenging ones as this is very basic, so would probably be most suited to someone who is very young or has just started to build Lego models

The packaging is plastic which helps to protect the pieces and makes sure that none fall out before the set is built.

You can buy this set from Amazon and ebay and due to their age, I think they would be quite difficult to find in a shop.
