As I am sure many of you were too, I was a Lego lover as a kid and used to spend hours building the tallest houses I could. Looking back though, Lego was pretty boring then, with just the standard primary colours and very little accessories, I thought it was great when they brought out roof tiles and I never imagined I they could make what they make now.

My friend brought this box for my daughter when she was approaching 3, I didn't think she would be interested that much as never really played with her Duplo however I was very wrong. She got really excited when she saw the box and we immediately set about making a house with her daddy.

I think she was attracted to the Lego for two reasons: 1, the box is pink and all the bits are nice bright, 'girly' colours and 2, as there are loads of different accessories, cups, a horse, parts to make flowers and beautiful windows & doors.

We have since brought another identical box and several different sets (you can never have enough Lego and also, no matter how much I tidy, we always seem to find bits everywhere!)

Lauren has had this for around 1.5 years now and she still loves building different thinks and now likes to build houses for her Sylvanian Families to play in.

The only disadvantage would be that the base plates provided weren't big enough to incorporate a decent sizes house (for her clumsy little hands) and a garden together, however these can be purchased separately as a fairly reasonable price.

The RRP of this is normally around £24.99, I think are definitely paying for the colours and accessories but I would recommend this product as either a fantastic starter kit or an additional to any Lego Fans collection.

The Lego comes in a nice brightly pink box with a pink lid. It contains 402 bricks in 12 different colours, windows, door, horse and 1 minifigure Lots of accessories included too: brush, cups, pot, golden cup, flowers, fences and wheels Instruction booklet contains 6 different building ideas.

The box is also ideal ad a lot bigger than needed so if you do buy additional sets, these can also be stored in this box.
