Advantages: Great for children from two up, improves fine motor skills and imagination

Disadvantages: takes up lots of room to store

This Duplo set is a great starter for any young Duplo enthusiast.

My little girl has had hours of fun using the contents for both the intended use (shop), to build houses, stage tea parties, picnics, she even uses the interactive till as a pretend camera to name just a few ideas.

Those not familiar with Duplo it is the large version of conventional Lego (same company). Much safer for little children as the blocks are bigger and therefore less likely to choke than with the little blocks. My 7 month old loves to sit in her big sisters Duplo box and have a good rummage and chew while her big sister builds around her and I can relax knowing they are both happy and safe.

A good investment, suits either sex, sturdy plastic can be easily cleaned and not easy to break.

Summary: timeless toy, suits both boys and girls reasonable price
