Lego 5602 Duplo: Police Station ... robber as he is wearing a standard issue stripey jumper! As with all Duplo sets the bricks and other pieces in this set are large and sturdy making them suitable for young children. Duplo is recommended for children aged 2 plus. My sons both love playing with this set along with their other Duplo. It is a nice little set on its own, and my sons, who love police cars and anything with a siren, will play with it for hours, however there are not many actual bricks included so it doesn t give you any scope for building anything other than the police station unless you are going to use it with other sets. Lego 7078 Castle: King's Battle Chariot ... it was a bit fiddly getting the pillars and flags on, as well as attaching the reins. Once built, this is plenty sturdy and holds together brilliantly. It s just fiddly getting the finished model completed. It s also a tiny bit fiddly getting all the accessories into the minifigure s hands, but kids who are already experienced with Lego won t find this too tricky. I love that this set is a complete playset all in one box. Often with Lego sets from this price range, you only get one minifigure in the box, or you need to buy another set or two to get any real play value. Lego 7638 City: Tow Truck ... a break half way through and for an adult (me) to sort out the tow rope bit. The tow rope needs to be threaded through a narrow slit and then have a hook tied onto the end of it, which his immature hands weren t able to manage. Other than that, this was easy for him to assemble. Once built, the tow truck drives beautifully - as most Lego models do. The little man is easily loaded in and out of his truck, and the tow rope bit works smoothly enough. The only problem we ve noticed with this set is that most Lego vehicles are not compatible with the hook on the end of the tow rope.
