I bought this set at least 9 years ago and it is without a doubt the best Lego set I've ever built. It is amazing, very fun to build and worth every minute put into it.
This set is truly amazing and unique - I don't think you are able to buy any other set quite like this - it is almost a life size Lego model of Yoda.
The set compromises of more than 1,000 pieces (I believe there are 1075 individual pieces) and most of them look the same. Thankfully though similar bricks are all grouped together into the same bag so you do not have to rummage through endless bags looking for one type of piece. The instruction manual is very long, but provides clear instructions on how to construct the model. The manual is from a bird's eye point of view so you have to build the model layer upon layer. By building it like this, the first few layers are quite difficult as it keeps falling apart, but after this, the model begins to stay together. This is also quite satisfying as you can see your model getting bigger and bigger and how it starts to look more and more like Yoda with each layer.
The model is very accurate and has pieces for his feet and hands with grey pieces for his long nails. He also has little black pieces for his eyes and his mouth is slightly open. He has his infamous dark brown walking stick with his hands resting on the top of it. His head can be rotated 360 degrees which is nice touch as it means that he can then be positioned anywhere in a room and you can then change his head, which I think adds more character to the model. He also has a dark grey necklace.
I would recommend this set to anyone who loves Yoda, Star Wars or Lego (or perhaps all three) or someone looking for a challenging set to build. When I say challenging, I do not mean that it is so difficult to build that it is near impossible, but many parts are quite tricky. It is time consuming and when I built it several years ago it took the best part of a day to construct. It is definitely worth every second spent on it as it measures 14" high and looks great on display as its almost as if Yoda himself is in the room with you!
The only downside is that sadly it has been discontinued and is now very difficult to find and very expensive (anywhere in the region from £150-£500). If you are able to get your hands on this set then I definitely recommend doing so as it is unique and looks great when on display.
