Advantages: . Good toy

Disadvantages: none

More Lego.

My grandson enjoys playing with Lego and he loves watching builders he always has done since as a baby my daughter often took him to watch the builders building a house at the end of her road.
At 4 ½ he is able to use the standard Lego alongside his duplo. I think the age recommendation for standard Lego is 5 yrs. But I think a child ages 4 should be able to play with it with adult supervision. Children develop some skills at different ages.

There is only one problem that we have when Adrian wants to play with this small Lego that is his baby sister she loves putting things in her mouth and the Lego pieces are very small. We have to be careful she does not pick them up and put them in her mouth as I think they would be easy to swallow.
Adrian was given a mini digger 7246 as an addition to his ever-growing Lego collection.
This mini digger costs £2.99p full price, I think it would make an ideal pressie for a Christmas stocking or a gift for your child to give another at a birthday.
You can buy this online at Amazon, eBay and other stores rarely cheaper than £2.99 and then you have to pay postage. I think most toy shops if not all stock Lego and will have this in store if not they would probably order it and sell it to you for £2.99p

I keep a few Lego bricks at my house for the grandchildren to play with and occasionally they will bring a Lego vehicle from their set at home to play with too.

There 36 pieces to make into the yellow digger. Included in these 36 pieces is a workman man to drive it, don’t forget to put his red safety helmet on. There is a pneumatic drill provided for the workman to help him dig those holes in the road. The digger itself has a scoop that your child can fit on it and there is a back support for the driver.
This digger is a very real copy of a digger your child might see on a building site or at the road works.

So come on nana my grandson says lets play. He is getting an expert at fitting the Lego pieces together correctly to make the digger (better than me)

Playing with this digger will help his social skills learning to share. I wonder if I will getr a turn playing with this digger today . ?

We have a [pile of bricks and another Lego vehicle... Adrian drives the digger talks to the workman, his language skills are improving. I could add new words into the conversation with my builder Adrian has a few problems with some of his speech so this is a good time for me to say the difficult words (letters) and for him to practice copying them.

Adrian gaily scoops some bricks into the scoop on the digger he moves them from one pile to another; he backs the vehicle he turns the corner expertly. Lego is good for his gross motor control (not that he has any problem with this but practice is always good) Building the Lego digger is good for fine motor control. Yes playing with this toy and other Lego bricks will help your Childs construction skills. (A useful skill important for building that flat packed kitchen unit when they get to be an adult)
Playing with Lego is good for special awareness.

This toy will help develop children’s imaginary play. You could prepare your child for the building work you are having done on your house by playing scenarios. You could use this digger it could scoop a pretend drive and the builder laid a new one.
You could use it to help their maths, moving bricks and counting them.

Adrian has finished playing with his Lego now and wants to go outside. Wait a minute Adrian please tidy your toy away I have a drawing board at my house he sets up the Lego constructions on it and then we just put it in the spare room(my daughters old bedroom) till next time he wants to play with it. (It always seems a shame to break his buildings up to put them away) but the loose bricks get put in a box with the lid on.
The digger can get put away in the cardboard box it came in as it is still in a good state not ripped yet.
The digger is going back with Adrian to his house he is pleased with his fairly new toy

Summary: A lego toy diggery

My twin nephews would adore this... but they'll have to wait another year or two as they are still a little too young

I think there is age limitation for lego playing, not really recommended for very young age.
