The Lego Mini Digger is available for only £2.99 and at that price no little boy should be without one. You can get them from Amazon, toy shops or even some supermarkets.


In the little box you get all the pieces you need to build a little digger and an instruction booklet telling you how to build it too. There's also a little builder with a hard hat and drill. Everything comes in pieces in a plastic bag inside the box so you have to have the time and patience to put it all together.


The recommended age for this is 5yrs and over so my 4yr old grandson needed me to put the toy together for him. I think even at 5yrs old or even 6yrs old he'd have still struggled to follow the instructions though. Not because they're complex or badly laid out or anything just because the concept is quite hard to grasp when you're still learning your alphabet!


I had this toy put together in under five minutes following the picture instructions. I was then ready to hand it over to my grandson who'd watched on with interest. He thought it was a great little addition to his Lego sets and loved driving it along the road plates he's already got. He liked the way he could pretend to drill with the little Lego man too and had good fun making all the sound effects.


An excellent addition to Lego play sets or a nice little toy on it's own for youngsters who are new to Lego I think.
