Lego 7280 City: Straight & Crossroad Plates

This probably seems like a really insignificant review to write, but I bet there are a few people out there who are interested in the kind of value for money they'd get out of buying these Lego roads. It costs £6.99 for this pack of two from Amazon (this is the RRP) which I'll bet seems a bit expensive for many when surely the carpet will do for driving Lego cars along?
