Advantages: Great Details, Value for Money, Easy to Assemble

Disadvantages: Starting to Go Out of Stock

Lego is one of the favourite toys in our house, and I guess it's probably me who's been the biggest fan of the Indiana Jones Lego sets! I just love the little Indiana Jones minifig, it brings out the little boy in me. This particular set is called the Jungle Duel (set number 7624) and it's just about starting to go out of circulation now. It's a 2008 set so you can still buy it, but you need to buy it soon if you want one, unless you're prepared to pay silly ebay prices for it in the future. Presently it's available for around £9 from Toys R Us and Tesco, which I think is a reasonable price given the cost of Lego in general.

There looks like there isn't a lot included in this set for the price, but actually there is a reasonable amount when you consider all the little accessories that are included. There's firstly the little tent included, which is a kind of thick papery-fabric material. It looks like it might be a bit flimsy when you see it in the picture, but it's actually pretty sturdily made and has stood up to a fair bit of play in our house already.

Also included are three minifigs, including Indiana Jones himself along with two 'bad guys'. Then there's a little camp set up which includes a table, bonfire, creepy crawlies, a little bench, a weapon stand with weapons, a little crate and even a map and some camping essentials like a frying pan and rucksack. The accessories have some extra features too, like the table can fold up and the weapon stand can spin.

Because this set is mainly comprised of a lot of accessories and small parts, there isn't much assembly required here at all. You can have the whole box sorted out and ready to play with in about fifteen minutes. The age recommendation is six to twelve years, and a six year old who is already familiar with Lego should easily be able to put this together themselves.

This is a really fun little set that can provide kids with lots of great play. There are plenty of different scenes that can be acted out here, and there are enough accessories included for a child to play alone or with a friend. For less than £10, I highly recommend this.

Summary: Highly Recommended
