Just on the extremely unlikely off chance someone has NEVER encountered this product before, I will endeavour to first explain what this product is and then go to sing its praises and faults. Quite simply, Lego are building bricks. What makes these different from traditional building bricks and blocks, however, is the fact that these click together to sturdily form a row, and complex, tall shapes can be made. Lego comes in many different forms, Lego Duplo being the largest sized bricks, aimed at toddlers and preschoolers, and smaller pieces branded Lego designed for the older child. Lego is designed so that any piece of Lego can also fit with any other, thus Lego fit ... Read the complete review

**** So how come I am writing about LEGOŽ? After all there is already plenty enough reviews about it? **** I remember my first box of LEGO. I was 6 or 7 and seeing it emerge from my parents` bag after their shopping trip to Czechoslovakia (which like the DDR was known for less freedoms but more stuff amongst the COMECON countries) was a dream come true. It was one of the BASIC sets and had a good selection of straight and roof bricks, windows, doors, people, wheels and a couple of odd gadgets like a rotary base for windmill for example. This first box was a start of a life-time love affair. After the first set came others, purchased abroad or in ... Read the complete review

Lego at its most basic consists of brightly coloured building blocks which snap together to form reasonably strong walls or other constructions. When I was a child, in the 1960s, there was not much more to it, and although I had a few pieces of Lego furniture, it didn't hold my interest for long. I can remember my brothers building cars and garages and playing all kinds of ingenious games, while I read books and thought of Lego as a 'boy' toy. So when I had two sons of my own, I assumed they would play with Lego. Sure enough, they seemed to gravitate to it whenever they saw it, and by the time they were about three or four, were beginning to ... Read the complete review

Lego is simply the best, long lasting and value for money toy you can buy. It was voted toy of the century in a recent poll (Fortune magazine and the British Association of Toy Retailers). I remember playing with it when I was growing up and my kids love it today. You can buy Lego for any age of child from about 6 months (baby size DUPLO to the 1-3years Duplo bricks and the 4-12 Lego systems. I have three kids that fit in to each of these age ranges and all three are Lego fans. *THE BASICS* LEGO was first invented in Denmark in 1932 by Ole Kirk Christiansen. The name derived from two Danish words LEG Godt, which means 'Play well'. ... Read the complete review

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lego ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lego is a toy that most of us have grown up with and now that my youngest brother is 5 I have the chance to play with it again, purely so that he doesn't have to play alone of course! Lego has developed so much in recent years with new shapes and new things to build. Lego in my mind is one of the best toys available because it encourages creativity and imagination, the two essential ingredients of a happy child. In order to write this review I have borrowed my brothers Lego. Due to the large age group between my brother and me, we have a huge collection of Lego. Currently is in one of those really long ...
