Advantages: Keeps kids amused for ages and is quiet.

Disadvantages: Takes ages to put away

I have 4 kids and the middle 2 love lego. We have a massive tub which has all sorts of bits in it. It used to belong to my husband when he was a kid so this proves lego had long lasting appeal and is also really durable.

My 10 year old loves the sets you can buy (we get them from Woolworths) which actually build something specific like a snowmobile or something. When he has built them and finished playing he puts all the bits in the big tub and other things are then created using those bits too.

My youngest is only 2 but does like to play with things made by her brothers and I think I will buy her some of the bigger lego blocks for christmas.

Lego is a big thing in our house at the moment and I love it cos it keeps the kids occupied but not doing anything really crazy and trashing the house.

Summary: Lego is great to kids away from TV

I love lego and still have boxes full that my mum bought for my brothers over 30 years ago. I think i'm going to lose it soon though, as my oldest brother is going to be a dad soon. Good revire. Gayna x

Goodness I remember buying Lego for my kids 30 odd years ago, I also remember how much fun I had helping them to build things with it. Joan
