Advantages: Fun and Helps Kids Gain Skills

Lego, its a classic, I grew up with this and think that it was a great toy invention to help children boost their creativity, imagination, teamworking and also construction skills. These are all good skills for a child to bring into their school and adult lifes.

You can get great sets of different structures for you and your children to build, though please note the age limit on the box as some of them can contain different fiddly bits that could be hard for younger children to assemble and hazzardous for them incase they choked on them. You and your kids can choose from a whole range of different models like castles, space ships, houses, even structures as big as towns and many more, some are harder and more expensive than others but they are great for kids to give them a project to do and also if there is more than person working on building the model, it will help teach kids to work in a team and share and also help them with their planning skills. Not to mention it is fun and there will be a cool model that your kid can play with after it has been built.

You can also get boxes of loose lego that can are brightly coloured and can be made into almost anything, this helps your child's creative side grow and also helps them use their imagination, as they can build anything they like, within the limits of the lego, a car, a house, lego people and other strutures can be built and younger kids can enjoy lego in this way as there is no plans to follow to make a model, they can just play themselves. However younger kids should only play with the larger lego blocks to reduce the chances of choking on the smaller blocks.

Lego really is a classic and is a great fun game that helps kids gain some skills that could help them in life, and adults can be involved in play too, which helps them bond and teach their children, what more could you want in a toy.
