Help catch the robbers with this great transporter set.

ABOUT: The main vehicle to this toy is the transporter which is big and has a satellite on so it can communicate (pretend) with the helicopter whilst trying to find the crooks. The helicopter sits on the back of the transporter to be taken elsewhere. You also get a little secret rock hideout where the crooks hide their stolen goods. You get a total of 4 mini figures with this set which includes 2 policeman and 2 crooks. You also get a small car and bike which is what the crooks use to try to get away from the police. This Lego set is only suitable for children aged 5 and over. This is due to the small pieces of Lego which can be a choking hazard.

PRICE: I purchased this from the Smyths Toys website (www.smythtoys.com) for £34.99.

BUILDING: There were a total of 4 different bags inside the main Lego Box and there were also 4 lots of instructions as well. We took bag 1 and booklet 1 and started to build the first item which was the motorbike and small red car. My nephew actually wanted to build this so I found the Lego pieces for him and he put all the things together to make these two items which didn’t take long. He didn’t seem to find any trouble clicking all the pieces together. I made the next Lego item using bag 2 and booklet and this built the Helicopter. This is the first bit of Lego I have made for years and I found the instructions very easy to follow giving you step by step pictures on how to make the different pieces up. All of the instructions on how to build the items are very clear and they are coloured pictures as well so you can clearly see the colours and shapes of where the pieces need to go when building.

PLAYING: The roof to the main part of the truck can be easily removed and the Lego figure inside can be taken out and put back in easily. My nephew is able to do this one his own without any help. My nephew got a few other Lego Police items so we played with all of these bits together. At first the helicopter doesn’t seem to be that safe on the back of the transporter but it actually sits on their fine without falling off despite driving and moving the truck and trailer around when playing with it. The transporter and other items that came with this set all seem to hold well together and no bits have broken off yet or have got lost. Obviously if the transporter or the small car that came with this set is dropped then it’s likely to break apart which means you would have to re-build some of it again.

OVERALL: A good Lego set that my nephew has been enjoying.

PLEASE NOTE: Picture is different in colour to the transporter that I purchased.
