Star Wars is one of my biggest passions and I have always fancied owning my own proper lightsabre, that actually works and strikes people down. Unfortunately, they have not yet made one and you're not allowed to around striking people down, so I don't think that will be happening anytime soon. In the meantime, I have contented myself with this little beasty. The Lego chrome silver lightsabre...now gasp and cry that you want one!

The tool is the weapon of the Jedi and used in the Star Wars films. It is the coolest weapon ever and that is a fact. Basically, it's a handle which when illuminated lights up and allows the user to swish it at anything and destroy the target. This is the Lego version and is a few centimetres in size. The toy is designed to be used with the Lego figures, though it is mainly aimed at Count Dooku. The design work is flawless here, with an unusual arched handle, it is quite unlike any lightsabre that I have ever seen.

The handle has been decorated with a stunning silver chrome effect which makes it one of the smartest lightsabres about. The sheen it gives off is incredible and it glistens when it catches the sun. The stem of the weapon is a bold red colour, just like in the film. Red is usually the colour of the evil Jedi lighsabres and this is Dooku's pride and joy.

The toy could have been improved if it had a pop up action, but this would have increased the cost a lot. As it stands it looks very impressive and can be used in any Lego game or just set aside as a collector's piece. Visually exciting, well made and very special. This is one Star Wars accessory to get hot under the collar over. Expect to pay about two to three pounds for a new lightsabre.
