      a fine figure

May I present one of the slimiest chaps from the Star Wars films. Nute Gunray (good name!) is a Neimoidian amphibian-humanoid and also an enemy of the Republic. He made an appearance in the three newer Star Wars films and got quite a lot of screen time. It was therefore right that he should be turned into an action figure. Alongside the Hasbro entry, Lego have done their very own version of the character.

The one inch toy is just like a normal Lego toy, with exemplary attention to detail. The colours are rich and vivid and he shines from a mile off. I am particularly find of his frog like face and snake like eyes which look superb. The yellows of the eyes glow out at you and he looks severely cheesed off! With a lovely bit of headgear, the whole top half of the toy has really paid off.

His lower costume has been designed well, considering the size of the toy. Nice reds and oranges working well here, if not a trifle too bright on the torso. You can bend him at the arms and legs and also move the head about. I feel some accessories would have enhanced the figure, maybe a small weapon, but then the headgear is so elaborate, this does compensate for the lack of extras.

In terms of desirability, Nute is right up there with the best of the aliens and monsters. Unique looking, visually exciting and also affordable at about two pounds. You can buy him online, check out auction sites for a real steal. Fans should invest in this figure because it is so well designed and kids will delight in having such an odd looking chap in their Lego games.
