      catchy toy

In the ever expanding Star Wars universe, there will always be characters who will turn your head. The weird and the wonderful monsters are particularly appealing to me. I remember watching the first films and being captivated by the background characters in the Cantina scene. Fans love the odd characters and it is always a pleasure when one is made into an action figure. Hasbro have their action figure range and now Lego have an impressive toy range too. You can buy separate figures or buy them attached to keyrings. This chap, Plo Koon will set you back about two pounds, so he is affordable and handy for keeping keys in check.

The figure is an inch in height and has a dynamic face with protruding tentacles. These dangle with carefree abandon down his chops, just like they do in the film. The face is a curious shape, looking like a sea monster crossed with an egg. Lego have got the colours accurate on the face though with swirly oranges and greys complimenting each other. It is pleasing to see the face has plenty of life to it and has not just been painted straight on like some other figures in the range.

Costume wise, not riveting, but sufficient enough to do the job. His brown tunic looks Jedi like, with some detailing on the torso. This could have had a little more texturing and not been painted on, but then all Lego toys conform to this ideal. You can move his head, arms and legs and also use the figure in any Lego game, attaching him to Lego boards or vehicles.

Overall this is a good toy with strong design work and few flaws. You can buy it online and Star Wars fans would be wise to add this Jedi Knight to their collections.
