I bought this dress from an Ann Summers party I went to about six months ago. I have been to loads of ann summers parties and I love going because its a really fun experience and all the girls get to chat and everyone seems to let their guard down and just be honest about things and really enjoy themselves. Some people get a bit shy at first but as the night goes on they normally just relax and end up having a great time. The only problem I find with going to ann summers parties is that after a few drinks and in such a chilled out environment I always end up thinking to myself why the hell not, and end up ordering loads of stuff which costs a lot of money. Like recently I went to one promising myself I wasn't going to buy anything, but I came back with an order for a pair of boxers for my boyfriend, loads of kinky accessories, as well as a couple of new outfits which I will write reviews about as soon as I've tried them all out properly.

The reason I chose this outfit is probably because I liked the thought of arresting my boyfriend. We love playing with handcuffs so I thought why not take things a step further and get dressed up in a police womans outfit when we do it. It makes things seem more exciting when we add a bit of costume and role play and we love adding these things in the bedroom. Ann Summers has a great range of all different kinds of outfits such as naughty nurse and maids outfits as well as a whole other different choice of costumes. I like all their costumes and I love dressing up in them as most girls do. Wearing the outfits can not only make things more exciting but they can be good for making you perhaps feel more confident in the bedroom as then you're playing a role. So for some girls that could be an advantage to wearing a costume.

The thing I don't like about Ann Summers is the prices because everything is always really overpriced and the quality isn't always that good. For some of the outfits at full price you can expect to pay up to £40 which I think is too expensive for the quality. Also they don't come with stockings included so you have to pay extra for these sometimes and you also have to spend more money on accessories. So if you wanted a full costume with accessories it could end up costing you quite a bit of money. You could always get your boyfriend to pay for it for you though!
I only paid £20 for this from a party because it was in the sale but I know if it wasn't in the sale it would have probably been about £40 and I don't think I would have paid that much for it. It was worth £20 though as we have used it a few times and I love pretend arresting my boyfriend and he loves being arrested by a naughty police officer.

When choosing what size to buy from Ann Summers I always go for a size bigger than what I am anywhere else. I don't know why but all their outfits seem to be really small. I'm quite tall and my normal size 8 or 10 is never long enough. But sometimes when I go for a 12 it looks too big and is especially too big in the boobs area. But I managed to be lucky with this and a 10 just about fits me. The skirt is very short but thats the look you want with a bedroom outfit like this. You could always wear it as fancy dress but I haven't got chance to wear it to any fancy dress parties yet as I normally dress up as cat woman for fancy dress parties wearing my favourite costume which is my cat suit.

I've washed this once, I've only needed to wash it once as it never stays on for very long, and I do think it has damaged the quality of it a little bit, I defintely wouldn't want to risk putting this in the tumble dryer. I like the outfit and think it looks good, fits well, is great for role play, wasn't a bad price (only because it was half price in the sale though) but the quality isn't the best. I would definitely recommend this though because of all the good memories I have with it lol. The only other disadvantage I can think of is when it comes to getting it off, it would be easier if there was a straight down zip or something but the design does look really pretty so I'm not going to moan too much about that.
