“ Brand: Ann Summers / Type: Costume „
This was last years Halloween costume, I have it in the size 8 which is the smallest size that Ann Summers do and I picked it up when the price was discounted in a sale and I paid £24.99 for it from their website. It is a fun item that is quite suggestive but also is comfortable to wear and is the sort of costume that you can just about get away with wearing outside of the bedroom as a fancy dress costume.
It is a white dress with red trim and a mesh petticoat that hangs a little below the hem of the skirt, it just about covers my bum and the top of my thighs and for the fancy dress party I added some white stay up stockings. There are some nice details on the outfit such as a red medical cross sitting over the chest and a little breats pocket with red trim as well. It has a red halter top around the neck which does not provide a lot of support so for me a bra was essential for when going out, not so essential when behind closed doors mind. You also get included with the dress a stethescope which I managed to lose within an hour of getting to the party, well actually first it broke when someone grabbed it and then once it was fixed I lost it. You also get a small hat which also went astray at some point in the evening.
It is made from a blend of Polyester, Polyamide and Elastane and is quite fugure hugging and does get a little clingy when things start to heat up, I found it pretty comfortable to wear however the red halter strap is not the kindest against my skin and could do with being a bit wider and made from a softer material as it can rub a little. It can go in the washing machine but is best to allow it to dry hanging up rather than in the spin dryer. The down side is the white colour does show any marks of stains (not what your thinking) and it did look a bit of a state after the party I must admit but it cleaned up ok.
At the £25 mark it is an ok purchase fr a bit of fun dressing up but it could be a bit more comfortable to wear and if going out you need some sensible underwear otherwise everything will be on show.
For an Ann Summers Party i was attending we had all to buy sexy Ann Summers costumes. I bought the Matron outfit!
Price and Availability:
I bought it at www.annsummers.com for around £35 however it's now less at around 20-25.
Basically it's a white dress with red designing and a mesh underskirt. It's a sweet and cute little outfit which some accesries such as a nurses headband and stethoscope come with. It's a stretchy material which is really comfortable to wear. I also bought a matching case for 8.00 which is pretty cute and can store all your essentials like make up and phone.
I love this outfit. It's cute and fun for a night out with the girls and great for sexy dress up parties. Compared to other outfits i've purchased i'd say this was the best quality one and it was worth the money!
Would definetely recommend!!
Back to the naughties! A lot of people that read my reviews will know by now that I have a thing for dressing up. This all started back when I used to wrestle and got to wear some rather funky outfit and well I just got hooked. I have around 60ish outfit and then there is the accessorise to match!
Ann Summers - Ooh Matron Fantasy Outfit:
"If you have a themed fancy dress party coming up, or a cheeky night out on the town, then this costume is for you. But it's best when it's worn for a little sexy role play at home. Doctors and Nurses, anyone?"
The Ooh Matron Fantasy Outfit is a halterneck dress that is white all over with red trims and a mesh petticoat. The dress comes just under the bum line then the mesh petticoat is a couple of inches longer which gives the whole costume a rather flirty look.
As the dress is all white the red trims really do stand out well; you have a lovely frilly bust trim then a red ribbon underneath with an outlined red cross in the middle of the bust. Following on with the theme you have a pocket front with the matching red ribbon finished off with two matching bows either side, rather sweet and girly. Then at the bottom of the dress you have another line of red ribbon. Personally I like the red and white have a nice balance without overloading the red detail.
As there is no support in this dress you will certainly be needing a strapless bra or some boob tap as the whole dress is held up by the neck of the outfit. I didn't find the material behind my neck a problem and really didn't notice it was there, however my sister had this same outfit for a night out and well putting it nicely my sister has massive boobs! In a GG fitting and for my sister this pulled down on the fabric and rubbed the back of her neck making it rather sore.
You get some free accessories with this outfit a headband-style hat and stethoscope, again like with most headwear that comes with an outfit it is always a wise idea to secure it with some headpins otherwise it is only going to fall out. The stethoscope is a rather cheap looking one but it is only a prop after all.
On your skin the outfit I find to have a soft feel the material is rather stretchy so I would recommend getting your correct size with this one, otherwise it will stick to any lumps or bumps you don't want seen!
Personally I always think as your paying a good amount for an outfit they should give you a free set of stockings as to finish this costume off they are needed. I purchased the lace top white fishnets to go with my outfit which cost me an extra £7.00.
This outfit I must admit is extremely comfortable to wear the only thing I'm never keen on is the feel of the mesh under skirt. And if you're wearing this for a night out I would recommend some kinky shorts rather than thongs or going commando (never a thing to do!) As you will end up itching your bum most of the night. This costume is made from - 70% Polyester, 21% Polyamide, 7% Elastane and 2% Cotton.
Like most of the outfits it recommended you wash this on a cool wash and to not tumble dry, I normally stick my in the airing cupboard or on the radiator and it dries fine. Once washed the skirt part of the dress does tend to crease up a little, they do drop out when your wearing it.
Price and Availability:
For Christmas one of gifts was £100 of Ann Summers vouchers and one of the items I purchased was the Matron outfit costing £40.00. Looking on their site now this costume has shot down in price to only £25.00!! With that you all get the headband-style hat and stethoscope.
At the time when I purchased mine you could also buy a matching case which you can see in the picture on the Ann Summers site. I think it was something like £8.00 but I never bother with it.
Overall this is a cool little outfit, but if you are rather large busted I would give this one a miss. It's fun and flirty and great for a dress up party or well a dress up night for two! At the now price of £25.00 it is a complete bargain. I still like my black and red one better but that's just me!
Feels nice, washes well, looks good and just all round good fun :o)
Four out of five stars from me.
Thanks for reading :o)
Comes in size 8 to 24
