I first come across Arran Aromatics product when visiting Trentham Shopping Village. There was a nice little store that sold all unique and different varieties of cosmetics and luxury bath items. I don't spend a great deal on bath items, I get most of it from Avon which does the trick for me however, when I received a huge basket wrapped up in clear cellophane for Christmas, I was so excited to rip off the cellophane and see what goodies I had inside. Arran Arromatics are based in SCotland and make their product branded under different names. The product that I am reviewing is the Honey and Lemon Lip Balm from the Feel Good Formula's range. Feel Good Formula's all contain natural ingredients and essential oils and are extrememly good products. The Honey and Lemon Lip Balm comes in a small transparent pot about and inch and half in diameter and 2cm in depth. It has a screw lid for ease of getting to the contents with a small label on the top with the Feel Good Formula's logo on it as well as the Arrana Aromatics logo. The name of Feel Good Formula Products is always written on at the manufacturers and makes it feel that little bit different and gives it the home made feel. Looking rather cheap it also give it that sense of it is actually more expensive than it looks. When opening the Honey and Lemon Lip Balm up, the smell almost jumps out at you. Unlike a lot of lip balms, I always find that they never smell of what they are supposed to smell like however the fragrance of honey and lemon hits you straight away. Its quite a strong punget smell, however you can tell that it is made of natural sources and not artificial flavourings. To apply the lip balm, you put a small amount on your finger and rub into the lips. The lip balm is quite hard in itself so you will need to press pretty hard, but be careful you don't end up pulling too much out. It rubs nicely into the lips and has a slight tingly feeling to it when it is on, i'm putting that done to the possibility of lemon juice in it. The product keeps you lips moist for a long time, it doesn't come off easily and it also protects the lips from chapping with the UV filter that is within it. Best time to apply I would advise is at night before you go to bed. Since having these products I have found the Arran Aromatics website which you are able purchase these products online and this particular product on their website is £2.74 for the pot, however I think shops actually put a higher retail price on these sort of items. I would definitely recommend this product and the various others that I have tried from Arran Aromatics Feel Good Formula's range.
