Blistex Conditioning Lip Balm
Advantages: Smooth and easy to apply
Disadvantages: Nothing special
I jump through Lip Balms like theres no tomorrow, depending on the mood I'm in, what's on sale and the time of year! I always keep one in my scrub top pocket at work and I think it has become a bit of an OCD to apply it, as my lips are more than often fine! It was through my Lip Balm quest that I discovered Blistex.
I bought the Blistex Condition Lip Balm basically because it was on offer- I got a 4.25g tube for £1 which, in my opinion, isn't a bad price for a brand I've heard of. The balm claims to protect lips from the elements for perfect lip care everyday- a big claim!
The actual balm itself is smooth and soft. It applies to the lips very well, not leaving them feeling sticky or greasy. The concoction contains Vitamin E, Cocoa Butter and Aloe Vera to soften it. It also contains Jojoba Oil and Camphor for, it claims, perfectly conditioned and gorgeous lips!
If I'm honest, I didn't notice much difference between Blistex and any other cheap-ish lip balm I'd purchased. It didn't stay on my lips very long and I found myself applying it more often than some of my other favourite brands. Admittedly, I didn't develop any problems with my lips, so it may have been doing its job properly but, then again, it's the middle of Summer too (oh, but it does have SPF15 protection).
I probably won't be buying this again; mainly because I know of much better brands. It wasn't a bad lip balm, it just wasn't a great one.
