This is one of my favourite lip balms! It smells amazing and really helps to soften lips. Also, you know that it's made from all natural products, so you can use as much as you like without harming your lips. However,I thought the packaging was slightly small and it would be better if they did a larger option for addicts like me! For me,the tingling is part of the sensation of it revitalising your lips, but for sensitive skin, I wouldnt reccomendas the bees wax can tend to sting a little if a lot is put on. Due to it's waxy nature, it can feel a little oily on your skin or lips, so it's no good for those who don't like the feel of oily things on them. However, this does mean it wipes off easily, which is both good and bad, depending on how long you want it to last. The price of it is generally reasonable for the quality of product, but for the size of the lip balm, could be made a little cheaper compared to other lip balms on the market. Overall, I did notice a change in the moisture of my lips, they were definitely softer overtime and less chapped. The lip balm does have a really great smooth texture though due to its bees wax. It's also quite light so not too sticky in hot weather. Would reccomend this lip balm to anyone hoping to improve the moistre of their lips or with chapped lips.
I really like Burt's Bees they make some nice products, one of which being this lip balm.
100% natural products are used like bees wax and vegetable oils, this is certified by the natural products association. They are not tested on animals and the packaging is recyclable.
I paid £3.75 for my tube which I thought was rather expensive for a little lip balm but I had wanted to try it for a while so treated myself.
I like that it comes in a tube because I use it at work where my hands are sometimes dirty so this way I don't have to touch my lips with my finger like with a tub of lip balm.
The acacia berry is a lovely smell and don't mind if I taste some if I happen to lick my lips. It leaves lips feeling soft and moisturised even when my lips are very dry, the consistency is more luxurious than cheaper brands I've tried in the past.
It lasts quite a while as it doesn't take much to soften your lips, the tube holds 4.25g and at only about one and a half inches long is compact enough to fit in your pocket or bag.
It works like most other lip balm tubes in that you just need to take the lid off with a pull, this is easy enough to do it's not stiff at all but it does stay secure in your pocket too. Then you twist the end to make it rise up when you need it.
Burt's Bees do lots of other flavours and I'll definitely be trying them now.
WHAT IS IT?
This is lip balm that has got a flavour and a smell of Acai berry.
WHAT I THINK
I do not like this lip balm because I think it tastes very nice and like fruit but it does not make my lips feel soft. When I apply it I have to be careful that I do not put my lips near to anything because it wipes off very easy, I am not happy about that because I drink a lot of cups of coffee in the morning to make me alert and if I drink even one after putting on some lip balm it goes away completely and ends up on the edge of my cup.
It is not effective even when I have left it on for longer and it feels very greasy on my lips because the balm does not sink in, that is why it does not moisturise very good because not enough of the product goes down into the skin of my lips.
The taste is very good but that does not last for very long either, I am glad it does not make it so that I want to lick my lips because if I did that the balm would disappear straight away!
This lip balm costs about £4 and I think that is not very good value because it does not work and is not pleasing to use. I have bought other lip produce from Burts Bees and some are very good but others do not work at all and this one does not do anything for my lips.

Burts Bees Acai lip balm is a scented beeswax based lip balm.
Like the other Burts Bees balms it's a harder balm that glides on and leaves a good protective layer. It's not a sticky vaseline type balm.
This version of the balm has a nondescript fruity flavour and scent, kind of like raspberry and it reminds me of many of the Body shop scents that were popular with teenagers in the 90s. I personally find all the flavoured Burt's Bees balms a little on the strong side. They're fine but I would love if they toned it down just a bit and it rather jars with their natural brand. Many of my family members are put off by the strong scents.
The ingredients are helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, cera alba (beeswax, cire d’abeille), aroma (flavor)*, ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, lanolin, euterpe oleracea fruit oil**, ammonium glycyrrhizinate, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, tocopherol, glycine soja (soybean) oil, canola oil (huile de colza), anise alcohol, benzyl benzoate, benzyl cinnamate, citral, farnesol, limonene, linalool. *natural flavor **açaí berry.
This product comes in a standard yellow wind up lip balm tube with a purple lid.
Like most hard balms they go on more easily when slightly warm so keeping them in an inside coat pocket will make them easier to apply in the winter. Likewise they may be a bit soft on really hot summer's day.
Each tube costs £3.69 making it higher priced for a lip balm but the quality is there and the protection from the wind and harsh whether seems to work well.
This is not a great lip balm but its also not a terrible one.I generally use tins of vaseline aloe vera lip balm but I fancied a change so I gave this one a try.I have to say it was actually a bit of a let down as I was expecting it to be amazing....I have used other products from the Burt's Bees range and I really liked them so I had high expectations for this lip balm.It fell short of my expectations for a few reasons...the main reason being that after applying it wiped off too quickly I would say within 5 minutes I felt like my lips were drying and that I needed to reapply.I found this to be really annoying and even when not eating or drinking it only felt like it lasted 5 minutes after applying it to my lips. Also it was quite pricey compared to my usually lip balm tin...it was almost double the price.I'm sure if I had looked around I probably could of found it cheaper elsewere but I just purchased it from Boots at a cost of £2.79 (my usually tin of vasaline is around £1.49) .I wouldn't say it's expensive but when I compare it to the lip balm I usually buy it is slightly over priced and the benefits of the product are now that good.I won't buy it again but that not to say this product wouldn't suit someone else cause it probably would....if you don't apply lip balm to often then this product would suit you.
This lip balm is just a standard ordinary lip balm. Nothing really special about it, it's not the best but it's certainly not the worst. I found that it wipes off too easily and just doesn't last long at all making it not that great for daytime wear. I do tend to wear it just before I go to bed though as it stays on my lips longer over night. However when applied I must admit it does have a smooth texture to it and feels smooth when its applied. It is a bit waxy though but it isn't heavy. A really good positive is that it smells amazing! It's got a gorgeous berry/cherry scent to it, nothing worse than getting a lip balm that has a terrible smell to it. However having said that a few of my friends have used this product and have complained about the scent. Some have said it is too strong, and has a sickly waxy smell to it, but I have had no problem with it. I guess it is just down to individual tastes and preferences. Another positive is that is is clear so doesn't tint the lips an odd shade of colour. Overall it does revitalise my lips and keeps them moist but it is just annoying as it wipes off easily. It's just not handy for the winter months as it is not long lasting and you have to keep reapplying. If you are wanting to use it during the summer then it may last longer but its definitely a no for the winter. I probably won't be purchasing this again as I want something I can wear all year round, but it certainly isn't a bad product.
