Advantages: Good pigmentation, decent price, nice smell, moisturizing

Disadvantages: None really

One of the makeup artists that I am subscribed to on youtube recently reccomended this lip shimmer in a makeup tutorial so ofcourse I rushed out and bought it and it really is as good as she said. The lip shimmer is available from so many shops and can even be bought from Amazon. I bought mine in store from Boots to save on postage. There is a variety of shades/flavours to choose from including cocoa, toffee, caramel, watermelon, champagne, fig, etc. I have it in rhubarb and I love it. For the price (£5.99) it is amazing and I will be trying out all of the other flavours as soon as I have a bit of spare cash because it's not the cheapest product to buy in bulk.

The lip shimmer packaging is adorable and mimics the Burt's Bees lipbalms but obviously it is quite a bit thicker and longer. It comes in a sturdy plastic 2.6g tube with the yellow burt's bees label wrapped around it and mine has red on the ends which is probably because I have it in rhubarb - with the other flavours the colours vary as obviously the colour reflects the flavour. The lip shimmer is basically a tinted lip balm which gives the lips a gorgeous, frosty look. The pigmentation of this balm is amazing and the gorgeous, very slight tingly feel it gives feels really refreshing and 'different'. It's really moisturizing and smells gorgeous (minty) - not synthetic at all. Unfortunetly the taste isn't great - not very sweet and quite waxy tasting but this is not a huge issue for me personally as the scent makes up for it - my boyfriend also loves it lol.

As I said before the pigmentation is great and in my opinion it looks just like a sheer lipstick. The staying power is amazing and although it is nice and moisturizing it doesn't completely sink into the lips, it sort of leaves a thin layer if that makes sense which protects my lips and keeps them nice and moist. It doesn't highlight dry and cracked lips either which is a huge plus. It really lives up to its claims that it ''nourish and moisturizes' the lips. Applying this is easy as the tip is the perfect size to give quick and even coverage and the balm glides on smoothly, I only need one layer of this and it feels so fresh and lightweight. As you've probably guessed I can not reccomend this enough - if you haven't tried it yet, you need to!

Summary: I love it!
