The eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balm Sweet Mint is available for GBP 5.99.
The lip balm comes in a blue packaging with a screw cap. The lip balm contains 7 g.
The lip balm is described as follows. "eos lip balm in Sweet Mint is 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. Packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, eos keeps your lips moist, soft and sensationally smooth."
The ingredients are Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Beeswax (Cire D'abeille), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Stevia Rebaudiana Leaf/Stem Extract, Tocopherol, Limonene and Linalool.
The lip balm has a creamy, firm consistence and can be applied well. The lip balm precisely glides on the lips. The lip balm leaves a pleasant feeling on the lips. The lips feel soft and smooth after use. The lip balm does not leave any colour. The lip balm moisturizes and cares for dry and chapped lips. The lip balm provides long-lasting moisture and the caring effect does not tend to lessen.
The lip balm has a fresh scent that reminds of mint. The scent cannot be noticed after use.
I can recommend the eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balm Sweet Mint, as the lip balm moisturizes the lips and leaves a pleasant feeling on the lips. The lip balm can be applied well, the lips feel soft and smooth after use. The fresh mint scent cannot be noticed after use.
I first saw these lip balms on Twitter. Celebrities such as Demi Lovato and Christina Aguilera were seen posing with their EOS lip balms in photos that they had uploaded. EOS claim that their lip balms are 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. You have to be aware of fakes circulating on websites such as eBay and Amazon. My advice would be to buy them from Amazon.co.uk (making sure that it is AMAZON selling them) and Urban Outfitters, a retailer I have seen that stocks them. They are usually around £6 to buy, depending on which flavour you opt for.
This Sweet Mint flavour comes presented in the usual EOS sphere packaging. It is what I would describe as "duck egg" in terms of colour, like a very pale green. The lip balm has a twist off top and you simply apply the balm onto your lips from the sphere, so no need to dip your fingers into a pot. This makes this method of application much more convenient and hygienic compared to using a lip balm pot. The balm glides on evenly and smoothly and it feels lovely against the lips. It instantly soothes and moisturises dry cracked lips and the moisturising effect is long lasting. Plus the gorgeous minty aroma is to die for! It doesn't feel greasy or waxy and it doesn't colour the lips either, so no ghostly white residue here!
This lip balm really helps to protect my lips from the weather and from the air conditioning at work, which I hate! It doesn't need topping up very often but I can't resist opening it up and applying it, even when I don't need to! I just love the packaging and the way it feels when you apply it to your lips. There's no other lip balm like these, in a good way. The sphere packaging makes the lip balm both easy to hold and easy to apply. You can get a really good grip on it and it's easy to find at the bottom of your handbag too!
Overall this is a lovely lip balm. It's natural, cruelty free, it's of excellent quality and the unique sphere packaging finishes it off nicely. Recommended!
Benefits of EOS lip balm:
Eos lip balms are very moisturizing and smell lovely. They are very popular among anyone who has access to them. It's a great lip balm because it doesn't leave a shiny or greasy residue on your lips, it makes them feel soft without it being obvious that you have something on your lips. It also doesn't transfer much to foods. It doesn't have an irritating taste rather you can only taste it intentionally and its tastes very sweet. It's got a nice shape to it that is comfortable to hold and the packaging has a lovely texture to it. It's lovely for only lipstick wearers as it doesn't affect the finish of lipstick but definitely keeps them soft and kissable! It is also quite affordable but of course the price varies from each place. You do however get a lot of product for what you pay for- I have found that an dos lip balm has a longer lifetime than other lip balms. Speaking of longevity, once you apply it, you won't need to put any more on for a while! However this lip balm can feel quite waxy. When I first got my eos lip balm it felt like it was actually tugging on my lips rather than hydrating and replenishing them, but it seems as it that is just the top layer. Once you warm it up a bit more, you will realise how creamy it is! It's excl my as it creamy but you don't feel it on your lips throughout the day - it feels very comfortable.
My lips often get very dry, especially in the winter so I always rely on lip balm to keep my lips moisturised. Before trying the EOS my favourite lip balm was just simple and basic Vaseline or the Maybelline baby lips. I like that the baby lips has colour to it, instead of just being a lip balm. I have to say that the EOS lip balm is way more moisturising on my lips though.
I really like the egg shaped container that the lip balm is in, this stands out in my make up collection because of the interesting shape and bright colours. I own al, if the EOS lip balms and absolutely love them all. My favourite is the mint flavoured lip balm because the mint seems to slightly plump my lips as well as moisturising them. I often wear the mint EOS lip balm when I go out because it makes my lips look full and hydrated. The smell of these lip balms is amazing, most smell fruity which I love. I think they are well worth the sometimes quite expensive price as they are harder to get a hold of in the UK than in the USA. I like that you rub the egg on your lips and you do not need to stick your fingers in of I get the product, this is a lot more hygienic and easier too. I would rate this product a five out of five starts because this product is great, I have had no problems with any of the EOS lip balms.
I first heard about these lip balms because I have seen celebrities such as the Kardashians, Nicole Scherzinger and Miley Cyrus using them. Also, what appealed to me was how unique the packaging was and the amazing claims. They are 99% natural, contain shea butter and vitamins A & E and they are petrolatum, paraben, gluten and phthate free. The packaging is really nice and I really like that you do not have to put your fingers in a tub to get the product out which is a bit unhygienic and it just easily glides on, so it is good to carry around on the go. The scent of this lip balm is amazing and it smells clean and fresh but not too overpowering. Also the scent does not wear off too quickly. I personally do not like wearing lip products so this lip balm is perfect because EOS lip balms are clear so it does not look like I am wearing anything on my lips. These lip balms really do moisturise my lips and it leaves my lips very soft. I own EOS lip balms in 7 flavours and the mint flavoured one is definitely my favourite. The disadvantages of this product is that they aren't very easy to find in shops (I bought all of mine online on Amazon for about £8 or £9 each) and they are a little bit expensive in the UK for a lip balm but they do last a long time and I have never finished one.
i love this eos lipbalm it rejuvinates my lips so much and keeps them moist. The scent is very sweet and refreshing and lingers around giving off a nice scent trail that will follow you around all day.
Eos lip balms are becoming very popular and I have seen many celebrities use it from Miley cyrus to Kim Kardashian. Are eos lip balms just a fad or actually great?
The truth is I actually really like eos lip balms and there are many reasons why.
What does the product do?
Eos lip balms claim to leave lips smooth, moist and soft, these are properties that are great to find in a lip product as this means your lips will be left feeling amazing!
Also it says that they are 100% natural and made from organic materials, this made eos lip balms sound perfect as I love using natural products because I hate using any harsh ans artificial products.
I read that eos lip balms contain vitamin e, this is great as vitamin e is so good for you.
My personal opinion
I mentioned that I really like using eos lip balms for many reasons. The first reason is the shape, I think it has really original and funky looking packaging this means even your lip balm could be a fashion accessory.
The second reason is that it smells great, I really enjoy the sweet mint flavour it reminded me of peppermint candy, which I absolutely adore, there are many other flavours too which I intend to try,
Thirdly, this product claims to moisturise, soothe and soften lips which I can guarantee it does well for me anyway, compared to other lip products I have used this has got to be the best so far.
The fourth reason is that it is very convenient to use, rather than dipping your fingers in a pot you can just apply your eos lip balm, this saves your hands from getting dirty which is a great bonus.
Some issues with this product is that it is on the pricey side and is not widely available in the UK so is hard to get hold of, however I bought mine online.
Overall I do not think this product is just a fad, I think that it is a great product that is the reason why so manny people use it.
I first saw this lip balm when my brothers partner had one and I was intrigued by the shape. Being a little bit OCD when it comes to cleanliness I loved the idea of a lip balm that I didn't have to poke my finger in or roll up and down harbouring germs.
She advised me she had received hers through a monthly subscription of some sort where they send you various products to try, I don't have this and so googled it once I got home.
These are available to purchase in Selfridges however I ordered mine online from naturismo for £4.99 early December. My daughter loved the look of mine and so I ordered several more in a variety of flavours for her I am currently using strawberry sorbet and it not only smells delicious but leaves my lips really soft and moisturised. I did get the summer fruits but that was not nice at all in my opinion.
These come in a egg shaped container and the lid simply twists off enabling you to apply from any direction.
As I say I liked these so much I now have all flavours and if you would like any feedback on any of these flavours please feel free to message me and I can advise you of what my opinion is.
Some of my friends have commented they think they are expensive for a lip balm but if like me your lips get dry during the winter months they are definitely worth a buy and I have applied mine several times a day since early December and it looks hardly used - I will definitely get another few weeks out of this.
I was very excited to try this product! I saw lots of Youtube beauty gurus raving about it, but at this stage it was only available in the USA and to get it shipped to the UK was extortionate. So whenever my friend was going to America, I got her to bring me one home. I really like this product. It's unique packaging and shape of course is the first thing you notice about it. This makes it easier to apply the lip balm to the corners of your lips. However, it is more bulky, making it impossible to just slip into your jeans' pockets. Of course, I get a lot of people noticing it because of it's shape. The product itself is also very good. The lip balm smells unbelievable and is really good quality. It goes on well, it is not gloopy and it does not have a colour, making it the perfect undercoat for a lipstick or lip stain. However, now that these products are available in limited places in the UK they are expensive. About £5 for a lip balm, bit steep for me. Maybe when they become more popular they will be easier to get for cheaper. But overall, a great product!
I first came across this lip balm on youtube, many beauty gurus were raving about it and I have to admit I was very curious about the packaging. A sphere lip balm, the first of its kind that I had seen. So of course, I wanted other opinions and reviews on it before I took the plunge and paid the rather extortionate shipping fee on Amazon. EOS stands for evolution of smooth, their website lists all the ingredients and claims that it is 95% organic, 100% natural and paraben and petrolatum free. The lovely mint green packaging has a matte, almost rubberised texture. When I first got the lip balm, I thought that it was very moisturising and it sunk into the lips nicely, a few months later I have found that it has lost a bit of its moisturising quality and has become almost waxy. Just something to keep in mind if you are looking to purchase it. I would say it's great for a few months and then starts to go off, making the scent almost sickly. It's not the best lip balm available on the market and I would consider it just a novelty. I live in the UK and as far as I know they're not very widely available. I sure got a kick out of having it, but I wouldn't purchase another one unless they became available here too.
So I saw these all over Facebook and Miley Cyrus uses them in her music video "we can't stop" so I thought I would try one out for myself to see how good they were! I ordered one off Amazon and originally I thought they were a bit pricey but it's only because they are shipped from America and I'm in the uk! It arrived quickly and I thought the packaging was so cute and easy to slip in your purse! I tried it on my chapped lips and this works a wonder! It moisturises so well and it leaves your lips all tingly! I love this product and it smells so nice, minty and fresh like spearmint gum! I really recommend this lip balm as it is super cute, so moisturising and smells amazing! It's about 4.99 and you can also get them in 3 packs! Love this product
I was hesitant to purchase the EOS lip balm at first because I was convinced it would turn out to be another run-of-the-mill lip care disappointment. I'm so glad my friend talked me into purchasing this succulent lip balm because it has worked wonders for my lips! I live in a very cold climate area so dry, chapped lips is a struggle of mine and EOS has managed to tame the intense dryness of my lips!
I have researched and found that many popular lip product brands mix drying agents into their lip products in order to dry lips more resulting in extra lip balm use and eventually extra Chapstick purchases. I am convinced EOS does not inject harmful, drying chemicals into their product because my lips have improved drastically and without excessive use. I apply the EOS 2-3 times a day and in between uses my lips stay soft and moisturizer for hours.
The product itself is, of course, the consistency of Chapstick. The only difference is that it's a tad more liquidy than most lip balms. A single swipe of the balm coats lips in the right amount without a gooey sticky feeling without having to put extra pressure onto it. The balm leaves lips feeling cool and slightly tingly, but it is pleasant. The taste of the product is a little minty, but no extreme flavor.
The only problem I have had is that once the ball of Chapstick gets low it is difficult to apply. The oddly shaped container prevents easy application once the ball part of the Chapstick is gone. There is still more product, but I will have to purchase a new EOS because I cannot apply it properly. I am not a fan of applying lip products with my fingers so if you are alright with application by finger then it really isn't a problem. Also, the spherical shape of the balm's container isn't very realistic. It doesn't fit in the Chapstick compartment of my purse because it is so spherical.
Overall, I love this product. My lip health has improved all thanks to EOS! I would highly recommend this product.
Packaging is a super important aspect for me as a shopper when I make purchases, especially beauty product purchases. This product has fabulous packaging, which is something that I am always drawn to in a product (especially lip products). It's definitely not your usual lip balm container. The container is a sphere shape, which is incredibly appealing to me, however it has a flat spot on the bottom that keeps it from rolling away. The outside of the container is soft to the touch with a beautiful matte surface. The size and shape of the container make it really easy to hold and to apply, which is great because with it begin a sphere and such I thought it might be awkward to put on. The color of the container is a very attractive blue/mint color that is very attractive.
The shape of the actual balm inside mimics the shape of the container in a spherical shape that makes it easy to apply. This balm is easy to apply and goes on incredibly smoothly. The texture of the balm is silky and soft. It soaks in quickly and leaves lips refreshed and hydrated for a long while. This product has a refreshing minty scent, that is definitely not overwhelming like some mint products. This product does a great job at helping to heal chapped or dry lips, which I tend to get frequently during the summer and the winter, so I thought that was wonderful. This balm contains lots of good stuff for your lips including olive, coconut, jojoba, sunflower seed oil, and peppermint oil. It also has beeswax and shea butter in it that are wonderful ingredients that are organic too! There was actually one ingredient I could find on the list that was not 'organic' (however they actually state that is was certified organic by the Oregon Tilth) and it was linalool, the last ingredient on the list. Overall the balm feels and smells luxurious and contains all kinds of great stuff for your lips!
I would highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a nice lip care product. It is very appealing visually and does not disappoint. The balm itself is soft and luxurious and helps to heal dry chapped lips. On top of all of that it's organic, which I know for some people is a really big deal. In general a great product that does exactly what you would expect and then some!
Thanks so much for reading my review! I hope it was helpful.
