WHAT IS IT? Lip balm that is made of 100% coconut oil. THE PACKAGING This lip balm comes in a twist up tube that is white coloured and looks very clean and fresh. It is very easy to twist up and down to use the lip balm and the lid fits very good so that it will not fall off unless you pull it off yourself. DOES IT WORK? I think this lip balm is very effective and it is pleasing to use also. When my lips are very dry they feel better as soon as I have used the lip balm and it works good also when my lips do not have a problem with being dry and I just want to keep them soft. WHAT I THINK I think this lip balm is very good and it smells very beautiful. I like the coconut smell very much and like that it lasts on my lips, it tastes not of coconut but very waxy instead and that is a pity but I do not lick my lips very much so it does not matter. It is a hard lip balm but when I apply it to my lips it goes soft at the top section so that the balm will sink into my lips and I can rub the stick across my lips so that it does not drag on my skin or pull my lipstick off if I am applying it in the day when I am already wearing my make up. It makes my lips feel soft and healthy and I am surprised about that because it feels like it is a hard and waxy lip balm but it is not like that when it touches my lips and puts enough of the balm on to my lips for it to make them soft and very moisturised. ANYTHING ELSE I paid only £1.39 for this lip balm and I like it very much so I am going to buy another one when I am out later so that I do not run out if the shop stops selling it. 4 Dooyoo Stars.
I absolutely love lip balm and I love coconut scented or flavoured things, so when I saw Inecto Pure Coconut Lip Balm it was a bit of a no-brainer, I had to have it. Lip balm for me is one of life's essentials, I use it every day, a few times a day in fact, and I like to keep my lips soft and smooth. It gives a nice sheen to the lips and makes you look made up even when you are not. As inevitably you end up tasting a bit of your lip balm (and smelling it too) it makes sense to go with a nice tasting and smelling balm. Moreover when you have a lovely lip balm you want to use it and the more you use it the softer your lips are :) I saw the Inecto Pure Coconut Lip Balm in the supermarket for £1.45, which I think is very reasonable and on a par with the likes of Lipsyl and Chapstick. The packaging is a bit boring- a white blister pack of card with a picture of a coconut on it. The stick itself isn't that exciting, white with a white lid, but overall it does look very natural and very appropriate for a coconut product. I wouldn't say it stood out on the shelves though, but it is easy to find in your handbag, being white, and looks quite smart (not bright pink neon, I'd be a bit embarrased to use that in the office!) The Inecto Pure Coconut Lip Balm is in a standard removable lid, twist up casing, and is very easy to use. The lid is nice and secure so it's ok to have the lip balm knocking about in your handbag, and the twist up function works smoothly. The lip balm itself is a waxy white colour and smells sufficiently strongly of coconut. It glides onto the lips well, no drag (which you can get with some cheaper balms) and and feels nice when it's on, not greasy or claggy. The Inecto Pure Coconut Lip Balm tastes pleasant too, I mean, I don't recommend you take a bite out of it or anything, but if you do happen to get some on your inner lip or tongue it has a soft coconut flavour. In terms of skincare the Inecto Pure Coconut Lip Balm really does help to keep my lips soft and hydrated. I like to keep my lips covered so I don't get dry cracked lips which can be very sore, and I use balm all year round. One thing I would have liked to have seen in the Inecto Pure Coconut Lip Balm is an SPF rating, for this reason, I use Inecto Pure Coconut Lip Balm mainly in the winter to protect against the cold weather and wind, and I switch to a sun stick in summer which has an SPF in it so my lips don't dry out and burn on holiday or in the Summer sun here in the UK. Overall then, I do recommend Inecto Pure Coconut Lip Balm, it is very easy to use, a very reasonable price, and it smells and tastes pleasant. It provides hydration and a light cosmetic sheen to the lips which leaves them protected and gives a made up look much like a light lip gloss, even when you are not wearing make up. It isn't too sticky and it allows for eating and drinking without any gloop or mess, and it lasts a few hours on a single application, as long as you haven't eaten a huge meal or wiped your mouth excessively. I would have liked to have seen the SPF but overall and for the money the Inecto Pure Coconut Lip Balm is a decent day to day lip balm which I'd recommend and give a review rating of four stars out of five to.
I always usually stock up on lip balm especially at this time of year when I want to keep my lips nicely moisturised against the cold weather. Strangely I couldn't find my usual brand of lip balm in Savers drugstore but I did find Inecto Pure Coconut Lip Balm, I'm a fan of coconut oil as a product for my hair and skin but this was the first time I'd seen a coconut lip balm. I checked the ingredients to see if there was anything else apart from coconut and to my delight the ingredients list is 100% coconut oil, as someone who suffers from skin flare ups I'm caustious about what I put on my skin so this was a big plus. The balm is packaged in the usual roll up lip balm tube and is white in appearance it has a faint coconut scent, not too over powering and glides onto my lips easily, it is clear in appearance once on your lips and not overly shiny, the texture of the balm is very soft and smooth. The actual balm roll is a bit smaller than my regular purchase and therefore may not last as long but the quality is excellent. I paid 49p for the lip balm, that's about half the price of my usual lip balm, I was surprised at the affordability for such a quality product without a list unpronounceable chemicals as part of the ingredients. I've now added Pure Coconut Lip balm to my list of beauty staples.
My lips often get quite sore, and throughout this winter they have been a nightmare. I now make sure there is always a lip balm in my coat pocket for when I am out in the cold, as well as one next to my bed as I find that they get quite dry of a night time. My lips have particularly suffered this year, and after getting through many a lip balm in the past, I just wanted a cheap and cheerful one to keep my lips happy. That is when I stumbled upon this Inecto Pure Coconut lip balm. I had never previously heard of the brand so didn't really have high expectations for it. How wrong I was... I purchased mine from my local Bodycare store. It was the cheapest one available at only 99p which I think is an absolute bargain! Currently (Feb '13) they are on buy one get one free, so you can have two balms for just 99p! This is also available on some online retailers including Amazon for a little more. 99p is just a fantastic price, and when you compare it to some of the other lip balm retailers such as Nivea you are saving a considerable amount so I was really happy to pay this. Aesthetically, as you can imagine for the price paid, it is a pretty basic product in terms of packaging. It comes on a small cardboard backing, with a plastic covering to hold in the lip balm. The balm itself comes in a white tube sporting green writing. It is very, very basic which did make me question how good it was going to be. There is nothing on the actual lip balm itself to detail usage instructions or ingredients, but that is not a big deal to me. As you can guess from its name, this is a coconut scented lip balm. If I'm honest, I'm not huge on coconut scents as I can often find them a bit too fruity and overpowering. This is quite a subtle coconut scent, so I really like it, and it gives a nice taste on your lips. When applying this to my lips, I couldn't believe how good the lip balm was. It extremely moisturising, and you can feel this from the moment it hits your lips. I find some lip balms can be quite hard when first applied to the lips, and you often have to sort of melt the top down to get it to work properly. This lip balm however just glides easily across the lips, and very little is needed to moisturise them. I use about two coats, and I find that this lasts a good hour or so. It smells great, tastes great, applies great and moisturises the lips great. I really could not have asked for more! In addition to this, I found that it left absolutely no residue on my lips like many other products do. When my lips are dry and there is skin flaking, I find that other lip products just moisturise it and then after application that the lips look worse. This is just a fantastic balm and leaves absolutely nothing on your lips after use other than a lovely shine. There is no colour added to this balm, but that is probably expected. Overall, I really couldn't fault this Inecto coconut lip balm at all. It has been a saviour for my lips over these winter months, and I would quite honestly have paid much more for this lip balm considering how effective it was. I will now no longer spend upwards of £3/£4 when you can grab something like this that meets its promises for under one quid! A really effective lip balm which I would encourage others to give a go, you will not regret it! Thanks for reading and hope it helps. :)
As a woman, it will come as no surprise that A) I like handbags and B) I have a few handbags... I'm sure my hubby will tell you that I have more than enough handbags, naturally I think that is utter nonsense because you can never have enough. Whenever I need to change handbags, it is always quite stressful trying to remember everything you need, by that I mean essentials - hand-cream, wipes, lip balm, tissues, perfume and so on and you can guarantee that I always forget something, need it and end up in Boots stalking the Soap & Glory section buying things. So In an effort to stop doing that and impulse purchasing, I decided it would be a good idea to put each of these items in each bag that I use the most, be that for work, going out or going away. One of the most important items for me is Lip Balm. It is true to say that I am a huge fan of Lip Balm and go through quite a lot of it. With the 'Beast from the East' having arrived with a vengeance, as the media have dubbed this cold weather, it is essential to make sure you take extra care of your skin, especially your lips because the last thing you want is dry, chapped lips which don't look very attractive. Inecto Pure Coconut Lip Balm is a product I stumbled across quite by accident when browsing on Amazon for a birthday gift for a friend and it caught my eye because of the little box which says "Other people bought this.... When purchasing X" so naturally I clicked on it. I am a huge fan of coconut products, I love the taste, smell and how it makes my skin feel. So priced at £1.31 it was added to my bag and arrived the following day. On the Inecto website there isn't a lot of information about the company, where they are based or anything about their history but there is a huge section on help and advice for both skincare and hair care, which I found quite insightful. Unsurprisingly, Inecto do have quite a list of products ranging from moisturising oils, body scrubs, body washes, shampoo, conditioner, leave in treatments and many other lotions and potions besides. The Lip Balm that I have is described as being "A Nourishing Lip Balm with 100% pure coconut oil smooths and softens dry lips". It is sold in one of those annoying cardboard squares which is covered with a sheet of plastic inside which you will find the stick of lip balm. The one thing about the packaging is that unless you are looking for it specifically, it probably wont stand out too you because it is all bright white in colour apart from a green banding strip across the top which has 'Pure Coconut' written in white lettering and the wording elsewhere is in green with a picture of a coconut. The Lip Balm tubing is the same as the packaging, bright white with green lettering telling you what it is and that it is 4.5g. As soon as you remove the lid, like any other tube of Lip Balm, you pull the lid off, twist the bottom and it appears. The balm itself is a bright white colour and as soon as it appears there is an aroma of coconut which is really lovely. The ingredients are listed on the back of the cardboard but for me there are two main ones to mention. The first being coconut oil, Infact it is 100% pure coconut oil and it is an excellent moisturiser, from other products that I have used on my skin where coconut is the main ingredient it has worked wonders moisturising, softening and soothing my skin. Coconut oil also helps the skin to retain moisture which then stops the skin from becoming dry and it is also nourishing to the skin. The one thing I like about using coconut oil is that it doesn't leave a greasy film on your skin as you might expect it too, instead it quickly absorbs itself into the skin leaving no greasy feeling at all behind. The second ingredient is another favourite of mine and that is Aloe Vera and again this is an ingredient which is kind to your skin and in particular with your lips because it helps to protect them from becoming dry and chapped, as the coconut oil also does because of its great moisturising properties. Aloe Vera is also high Vitamin E which again is good for the skin because it helps to protect it. So with those two ingredients it wouldn't be much of a surprise when I say that this lip balm is incredibly soft and smooth when applied to the lips, the dominant smell is that of coconut and it glides across the skin and within a matter of seconds has absorbed itself completely. As it is a balm and not a gloss, there is sheen or shine to your lips. It is suitable for using as regularly as you feel you need too. I am a huge fan of this lip balm, it is cheap, it smells wonderful, it does exactly what it promises to do - moisturise, protect, nourish and soothe. It is quite easy to find online which is where I made my purchase, though the price does vary with each online website. So for me, this is a product that is likely to remain in one of my handbags for the foreseeable future. The only downside is if you don't like coconut in any form, this might not be the product for you.
