“ Brand: L'Occitane / Balm / Type: Lip Balm / What it does: regenerates, „
My Aunt kindly gave me this at Xmas, I love L'Occittane body products, but at the time wasn't aware of a make-up/face care range of theirs. According to L'Occitane, Peach Blossom Peachy Soft Lip Balm is enriched with peach kernel oil and shea butter. This deliciously scented lip balm nourishes and softens while relieving any feelings of discomfort leaving behind a shiny, transparent finish for radiantly beautiful lips. The tube contains 15ml and is not currently stocked by L'Occitane, but is available from some online retailers and eBay for around £5.
The lip balm comes in a squeezy plastic tube with a slanted applicator for easy applications. the balm is near colourless when it is squeezed out of the tube and has a mild peach aroma which doesn't smell synthetic. The slanted applicator effortlessly glides over the lips distributing the product evenly, this can be done without a mirror. The balm is more like a gloss in terms of its texture and the way it looks. It feels silky similar to the feeling of Vaseline, but is more moisturising - thanks to the Shea butter. My lips looks shiny and glossy, like I've applied lip gloss and as there is very little colour to the balm, my lips are natural in colour. There is a mild taste of peaches which seeps into my mouth after I have applied it, but it is not excessive or unpleasant. The smell of peaches is not detectable once applied.
My lips do not feel tacky or sticky, as I say, it feels like I have Vaseline on my lips. My lips look glossy for around 2-3 hours after I have applied this, It even withstands eating and drinking! The great thing about this product is even when the glossiness as subsided, my lips feel wonderfully soft and moisturised for hours more! This balm really is the best of both worlds in terms of a moisturiser and lip gloss.
I estimate that 15mls of this balm would possibly last around 4 months will regular use. I have been using this on/off for a few months and have not noticed any swelling or irritation from this product. The only thing I wish is that this had SPF protection, but hey, it has Shea butter and kernel oil - you can't have everything!
Overall, I recommend this everyone. If peach isn't you're cup of tea, then L'Occitane offer other varieties of this product such as cherry blossom and verbena - so check them out!
5 Stars - thank you Aunty!
