Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub
Advantages: Natural, vegan and safe!
Disadvantages: Perhaps a bit pricey for some
Whenever the seasons change, my skin always pays the price - if I'm not suffering from dry skin, I'll have dry cracked and sore lips due to lack of ex-foliating and moisturising and I often find it difficult to find a suitable product that I like putting on my lips since most are either too greasy, to oily, too heavy or don't do anything or taste absolutely foul.
With lush's bubblegum lip scrub I actually found myself using it time and time again, not only because of the smooth feeling it gave my lips, but also because it tastes and smells amazing. Bubblegum is my absolute favourite taste and scent and I was delighted to find that this was such a suitable product for me.
I found this product after looking at the snow fairy range which is limited edition every year to the Christmas season, I couldn't get enough of that sweet bubblegum scent and it was nice to know that there were a couple of products that shared a remarkably similar scent to snow fairy - the scrub being one of them.
According to lush's site the ingredients are as follows:
Natural Ingredients: Caster Sugar, Organic Jojoba Oil, Methyl Ionone
Safe Synthetics: Flavour, Colour 45410, Colour 45380
The scrub is vegan friendly and costs £5.25 per 25g pot; which is made from glass and a plastic lid.
Lush say that "Our lip scrubs are made from castor sugar to act as a gentle scrub and jojoba oil to be wonderfully moisturising but light enough not to leave you feeling greasy." Which is the exact reason why this product is ideal for myself and many others who share the same problems in finding the right kind of product.
I find it comforting that I'm putting natural and safe ingredients on my lips so that I'm not making myself ill with any artificial products - and for me personally I found that even with daily use the scrub lasted a good 4-6 months, which in my opinion is great value for the price otherwise I wouldn't have bought it again because it is a small tub after all but it is definitely worth the money if you want to care for your lips.
Like all of lush's products this scrub is not tested on animals whatsoever so it is also cruelty free.
It can be bought on-line at lush or in store, though obviously postage fees are applicable so if possible take a trip to your local lush store or buy it with a few other products when ordering on line so the postage seems reasonable.
