as I have said in previous reviews, Lush at Christmas is one of my favourite times of year. I become very excited at the prospect of new products even though they are only available for the Christmas period. They always release bubble bars, ballistics, new gifts, scrubs and the like. This year they also included lip tints in the range and it is one of them which I will be reviewing for you.

One of the lip tints Lush released for Christmas 2011 was the "Celebrate" lip tint (the other two were Snow Fairy and Chilli Tingle). The "Celebrate" lip tint came in the usual 10g silver twist tin all of Lush's lip tints come in. They are really handy and easy to just slip into your bag, especially if you have a small bag and cannot fit a whole make up bag in. They are small enough to even fit into your pocket if need be but I would be careful with doing this as the lip tint is made up of wax and body heat will melt it down! All you want is a big grease stain on your pocket! On the top of the tin is a sticker saying what the product is and with the Lush logo just above it. On the base of the tin is another sticker with a best before date and all the ingredients used in the product.

When you open the tin you are greeted with a circular piece of wax which is held into the tin. The wax is coloured a dusky pink - it is very pretty. It is also scented with the Champagne Snow Showers scent which is an alcoholic scent smelling citrussy with its cognac and lemon. It is very much like Bucks Fizz. Rather than Christmas though, the scent actually reminds me of New Year. It makes me think of parties and drink and just having lots of fun, awaiting the New Year. There is a light dusting of gold popping candy over the lip tint. It is supposed to make your lips tingle. It looks very pretty in the tin but it doesn't really do much else apart from pop on your lips. I like that popping sensation though so I wouldn't want Lush to change it!

The ingredients included in this product are: almond oil, japan wax, icing sugar, jojoba oil, cocoa butter, lemon oil, grapefruit oil and cognac. The ingredients used are supposed to help moisturise the lips and also act as a barrier between your lips and the cold, harsh winter weather.

The lip tint is easy to apply, you just rub your finger in a circular motion on the wax and then apply it to your lips. It leaves a very light dusky pink sheen on your lips but it is very light. My lips did look quite glossy and I found it lasted for a good 2-3 hours before I had to reapply. It left my lips feeling soft and supple and it did protect them from the cold wind. I put some of this on when we went to Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park Corner last year and it really stopped my lips becoming chapped from the cold.

This is an excellent product though a little on the expensive side at £4.95. I know most people would rather just buy a tin of Vaseline for £1.25 but this little 10g pot really lasted me a good while (at least two months) and it smelled fabulous too.
