Advantages: smooth application, smells nice, doesn't melt easily

Disadvantages: Slightly more pricy than other lipbalms

Nivea Hydro Care lipbalm comes in a light blue package with a white inner. The product itself is white and mildly fragranced. I bought this product in a supermarket after Christmas as part of a gift set- as it was after Christmas the set had been reduced so I paid £2.49 for the set, which I felt good value as the lipbalm alone sells at about £1.99.

I have been using this lipbalm whenever my lips have felt dry since I bought it, and I have noticed that my lips do feel softer after use, and although the weather has been quite windy recently I have felt the need to apply this lipbalm fewer times a day the longer I use it (windy weather dries my lips out).

Although this product retails at a slightly more expensive price than the lipbalms I tend to buy, I do think that it is worth the money at £1.99 as I have found that it works really well. It applies smoothly and is not gritty, unlike a lot of stick-style lipbalms. I have also found that it doesn't melt easily- I keep my lipbalm in a jeans pocket usually and a lot of them melt easily resulting in a greasy mess. Not Nivea Hydro Care though. This product was in my pocket throughout work yesterday and it kept its shape all throughout that time, and was still applying smoothly at the end of my shift.

All in all, I think this product is an excellent buy for anyone who gets dry, sore lips.

Summary: A great product that works well and smells good.
