One of my most used products

I've always suffered from dry lips and have the annoying habit of biting them, leaving dark patches which bug me no end!
I'd previously tried using high street products such as Vaseline or Carmex to try and look after my lips but found they only dry your lips more and you end up having to restock often. My sister however is a beauty therapist and suggested I try this Ren Lip Honey. I'd never heard of Ren before, let alone their lip honey, so I wasn't exactly sure whether to bother, especially when it was nearly £7, far more expensive than products like Vaseline.

She bought me a small tub of it regardless. It comes in a smart little box and lists the ingredients along with the description of how the honey hydrates your lips, the Calendula heals them, and Rosehip Seed Oil boosts cell renewal. All very scientific and persuasive, but I still wasn't convinced a small 7ml tub would last long enough to make an impact.

The directions are simply to apply as often as desired to keep the lips hydrated, so the first night I smeared some on my lips before going to bed. It was quite thick and needed kneading between the fingers before it was flexible enough to cover the lips. The smell of honey is sweet, and it tastes almost as sweet and tempting. Either way I went to bed waiting to see the difference in the morning.

I woke up to what felt like dry lips with a dry throat to match. I had a drink and effectively washed the residue of the lip honey off and was shocked to see the effects ONE NIGHT had had! Pink and soft lips. Not perfect but significantly better than the night before! I didn't even feel the need to re-hydrate my lips during the day as they felt soft throughout. I was won over, so was my girlfriend!

The 7ml tub which i thought might last a few months has lasted me a year, and despite the packaging claiming the product only last 9 months, it still works perfectly. I am down to the last scrapes now, and will ask my sister for some more, but when I consider the price I pay would pay for about 3 tubs of vaseline, I'm so impressed. In my opinion it also looks more sophisticated having Lip Honey rather than vaseline, but that's not particularly a selling point!

If you do have a Ren stockist nearby, and you regularly buy highstreet products for your lips then I highly recommend asking them about Lip Honey, a 5 star product for me.
