Simple Kind to Lips Intensive Lip Moisturiser:
A while a go I got a free sample of this in the post and used it couple of times before loosing it in my drawers and forgetting about it. Recently I have been getting seasonal bout of nasty dry lips and so when I spotted this I grabbed it out and started using it again.
I don't normally like Simple products as I like things to smell nice and my skin, although it can be a little sensitive can handle natural fragrances. I also haven't ever found Simple products to be that effective so I wash kind of surprised when I liked this.
The lip moisturiser comes in a little white plastic tube with a screw cap and a useful slanted applicator; the products comes out of a hole in the middle of the applicator and it is easy to accidentally squeeze out too much but after a few uses you get used to the mount of pressure needed to dispense the right amount. Because of the slanted nature of the applicator it's easy to spread this out over your lips without getting sticky fingers, so it's ideal for use at your desk etc.
I will say that I don't really like the fact that this a thick lip gloss; it clings to your lips making them feel sticky and is very, very glossy. I don't like the glossy pout look so I only use this at home normally just before bed so it gets the most chance to work before being worn off.
Being a Simple product this lip moisturiser/gloss doesn't have a scent or a taste and although I would prefer both I can live without it. The packaging states that it contains 2 vital minerals and 1 skin loving nutrient but to be honest I tend to disreguard most of the things written on the packaging of my cosmetics as I find they often bare little resemblance to the truth.
After a couple of uses I find my lips start to feel softer, it isn't an almost instant thing like with a lot of lip balms but it feels deeper and certainly lasts longer than a lot of the lip balms I have tried which seem to need to be constantly re-applied. I am happy enough with the results to keep using this product but because I prefer flavoured lip balm and dislike the glossy look I probably won't buy it again when this has run out.
At £3.05 (at Superdrug) I think this product is a little expensive as you do use a fair amount with each application.
Summary: Works but is nothing special
